Pearl Jam in the Last of Us TV show

A song from Riot Act.  I guess that answers that.  Time period is correct.

Edit: She had to tape it herself since Riot Act didn't come out on cassette in the US...

    I caught that right away, but then my immediate question was, where did she find a cassette of riot act?    Those must be pretty rare (if they exist), and probably would of been made in some countries where CD's weren't quite as popular?

    Still, it's cool to see them use some PJ, and a rarer song at that.   Given it creates some challenges in the 2nd game with TV show have the apocalypse 10 year earlier and lightning bolt never coming out.  Hopefully we see some more pj in the show.  Maybe they'll try to repurpose an older songs for s2.

    The question isn’t where the cassette came from, but was it a Dolby atmos version of riot act?

    Waking up this morning, I'm sitting here thinking, did someone make her a cassette of Riot Act, or was this a mix tape situation?  Either could have been fairly common as not everyone's car had a CD player back then.  I know it's not the takeaway I'm supposed to have, but I want to know what else was on that tape.

    I never played the game. Whats the connection with PJ and the game? I've been hearing people talk about it on here and have no idea why.
    I googled "Pearl Jam Last of Us game" and saw Joel plays future days. Pretty easy to just pick any other song ever made before 2003 if thats the only connection.

    In the 2nd game, Future Days is actively used and played by the protagonists.   There's also a lightning bolt poster or two seen in the game.   The challenge being with the TV show, is that the apocalypse happened in 2003 instead of 2013, so I'm not sure that'll be present in the second season (as PJ wouldn't of had a chance to make lightning bolt in the TV universe).
