Fuck. This is going out with a  t. swift RSD release. Lines will be catastrophic
Stores will likely do a raffle for the t swift release so people lining up for just that might minimal
That Taylor Swift thing sounds awesome but I wish they would release it on CD.

A shop where I buy most of my vinyl are asking people to ‘like’ certain RSD releases on their website and add them to their ‘wish lists’. Fair to say I’ve added Give Way to my wish list. If people don’t show interest they won’t bother trying to get them in. (I’m in Australia). Surely being an Australian release they’ll have plenty of copies! 🤪

Will the CD be a more wide release, or like the vinyl, RSD only?
For UK, the approximate numbers are the following: 3000 LPs and 1000 CDs.

I emailed my local independent record store my wishlist which includes: Give Way (CD) & Give Way (LP)

Usually, that's the case. Maybe a little bit earlier... :dizzy:

There are a ton of these if you don't want to sit in line just watch for them on Discogs.  Obviously wait until stores add their inventory like a day later and you can get one for retail.  Prices will look stupid the day of but those are people just trying to take advantage of people fear of missing it.  Also, Record stores will also sell their leftover stock on their websites as well.

That is a ton, and it will no doubt be easy to pick up on RSD or later.

But somehow Taylor Swift's 115k of her folklore live performance that is available on disney+ will certainly feel like a tough purchase to some.

If it were something they were only going to listen to once, maybe that would be true, but that's not probably what most people looking to buy it will have in mind. They want to be able to listen to it for years to come. Better to pay $40.00 to own it forever than $8.00 every month to rent it (or whatever Disney+ costs)-- although, in this case, the Disney+ version is video which allows you to look at Taylor, and that's a definite value-add. (It would be even better to pay $15.00 to own it forever on a CD rather than $40.00 on a record, but others' mileage may vary.)

They should release the extra 8 sings digitally....
Should have them on the vinyl. Even if the CD is a 1:1 reproduction of the 1998 one.
Definitely.  This is a pretty lazy release when push comes to shove.  The missing 7 songs (crazy mary is just a between song interlude, not actually played in any real sense) would invariably make this just one additional LP.  It is such a headscratcher.

I remember getting this bootleg CD for $70 for 2 CDs in around 2000, it was called Aussie Dynamos and LIVED in my car. Looking forward to spinning the record.

Would MUCH MUCH prefer the whole show.

Aussie Dynamos was actually from the March 17, 1995 Melbourne show.  https://www.discogs.com/release/3483949-Pearl-Jam-Aussie-Dynamos

The 1998 was more likely one of these -

Not to sound like Captain Obvious, but it really depends on where you are and the demand.  I'm south of Nashville and we took the kids to the zoo the Saturday Live on Two Legs was released for RSD. Store opened at 10:00 that morning and I got there around 4:00 or 5:00 later that day and had no issues picking one up as there were still a quite a few copies left.  They even still had some Sweet Relief vinyls left as well.  I keep going looking to see if the Singles soundtrack ever shows up there on vinyl, but no luck there yet, lol.
But with Give Way being as rare as it is and never actually released yet, who knows, I may not be so lucky....

It depends.   I feel like my local record store does a pretty good job getting copies of things.  Plus I live in a smaller city so the lineup seems more reasonable than pictures of I've seen of record stores in bigger cities.  I usually show up 30 minutes before I think the store will open, and usually get most of the stuff I wanted to get (usually there's 1 thing they didn't get in or sold out).  Seems better than 5 years ago, where pressings were much smaller and over 50% of what I wanted would be sold out.

I'm still seeing RSD PJ releases on store shelves (Lo2L and Alive EP).   Hopefully Give Way is just as easy to get.

I'm hoping 10 club does a sale too, but it's not too difficult for me to call around day of. There's a bunch of stores not too far away. And if need be I can bug some friends who live in different cities lol.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Keep an eye out from Easy Street Records, online & in store. They will have the majority of Pearl Jam Get Way RSD copies.
