There is a zero percent chance of PJ doing the Superbowl

PJ hasn't been relevant to the masses to 20 years at least!
The Who and Tom Petty weren't relevant to the masses when they did their SB gigs. Pearl Jam is still a name. But they probably missed their chance. I don't think they're going to do rock anytime soon
You raise a good point, however, The Who and Tom Petty had more than a few hit albums.
Tom Petty and The Who had about 9 or 10 hit albums at the time of their performances. U.S. probably a little less for The Who. Pearl Jam has 9 probably 10 if you want to count Lightning Bolt which was #1 in quite a few countries. Gigaton unfortunately wasn't although it should be. Also there have been performers recently who have had less and are new

I would like to see this. Who has it hurt in terms of bands fandom?. It didn't hurt the Chili Peppers, Bruce, U2, The Who,  Tom Petty, or Prince. I don't think they want to do it. But if they did I would be for it

  • This is why I love this band and love this forum! So many differences of opinions! Very cool! Thank you for offering your insight!
