Thanks. My cousin is coming over tonight to add some lead guitar work to the track. I'm excited about that because he is a pro touring/recording musician who has performed with the likes of BB King, Gary Clark Jr., and Jimmie Vaughan. Although his lane is primarily blues centric, he is also a great rock guitarist so I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. I will post the results of that sessions once they're ready.

I think I'm finally going to build a PC to run Ableton Live and virtual instruments. I think I have all of the hardware I need (or I need to buy a bigger house). Time to record some shit.

I thought of going the Apple route, but every time I think about switching to Mac, I end up with a ridiculously priced Mac in my cart or a base machine at a premium price that has obvious shortcomings. And Apple is always dangling that carrot about the next machine. I usually go thru this exercise every 2-3 years and end up getting nothing.

There is a DAW builder in Ohio (Purrrect Audio) that I will probably contact after the Thanksgiving break to see if they can help spec a system out for me. Any advice?

It's great hearing some home made demos here. Here's my 2 cents worth. Sample of a few written and recorded during Spring 2020 during lock down. Used Audacity and headphones to mix so could be a lot better. I'm certainly no singer, but did my best with what I got!!

I definitely need to look at using Pro Tools. I think I will make a switch down the line. For now I am using an old version of GarageBand on a 2010 MB Pro and that’s what I used to release my only solo album last summer. There are still controls and settings in the mastering area that I have started to get down, so that’s why I haven’t made the change just yet.

Yeah, I have the basic Pro Tools and you'll get the hang out of it very quickly. Just need to wait until I get a new computer to re-install it. You're welcome to try it out if you want, man.

I recorded a little bit yesterday....just some improv ideas on my iPhone. I think I may release another EP & will let y'all know if I do!

So, I sent a couple songs off to a drummer in California. All I can say at the moment is that the drummer has a connection to PJ. Once the songs are complete I'll share them and tell the full story. I'm excited

Richard Stuverud just laid down drums on two of my songs this past Sunday and I should get the files back tomorrow. Cannot wait to hear the results.
