MSG Entrance For Poster Question

The Big Apple got the better of me last night and I won’t in line early to try to get a shirt.

i recall from previous MSG shows if you get in when they first open the doors you can immediately head upstairs to a Merch stand.  Anyone know where to enter / go to do that?

    This is the same for every show by the way. No need to wait in a merch line if you intend to go right inside the venue.

    Right - my question is what door/street/section of MSG should one go in to get up to that Merch stand asap? Does anyone know?

    I remember there were multiple lines to enter around the venue in 2016 that all let in as soon as doors opened. Just be careful not to get in the GA line. But that one should be obvious.

    im just curious if - and I’m assuming there is - getting into the stadium (for example) though gate 4 on 7th street leads you directly to the elevator where once you get up the Merch stand is right there.

    I got shut out of the merch I wanted in the lineup for 2016 Night 1 and walked straight past the first merch stand to the other side of the 200 level because that initial stand was already packed. I was their first customer.

    At the RATM show they had the merch set up right at the entrance, inside of MSG, and then there were multiple smaller merch stands in the hallways along the different floors. I no longer feel the urgency to stand in a line for merch for hours to then realize the same stuff is available inside since the probably printed thousands of everything given the size of the venue. It was a fun first time experience at the home shows, but then realizing that the poster and shirt I bought were available inside Safeco made those hours in line feel a little pointless. Met some fans and had some great conversations though.

    I decided to come - I’m about 250 or so right now (got here around 10 ish - first person was here at 6 am).  The line is massive around the corner etc.

    I’m not great with numbers but I walked the full length of the line and there might be a thousand people in it. This is the normal merch line but on steroids.

    I’m on a train and won’t make it go NYC until about 3.  Unless I have a special friend in line my chances of a shirt and poster are slim!
