welp, am guessing foos continuing is a distinct possibility after seeing them with Rufus?

    thoughts?
Haven't Dave said they will continue (?).
Has Dave said that? I didn't know he'd made any statement on it. When did he say that?
  • McCartney & Hynde we’re amazing.

I also thought I heard recently that Dave said the Foo would continue. Can’t recall where though.
  • There Goes my Hero with Shane on drums.

The decision to go on or not is probably far far bigger than whether they can find an incredible new drummer. It's about whether it feels right to them to go on as the Foos without Taylor, especially given how he left this world. It's about identity and emotions and frankly, given that this was the 2nd key essential band member for Grohl to lose, it's about whether he feels he can go on as the Foos for now.  The Foo Fighters formed after Nirvana obviously called it a day when Kurt died. Here, Dave is the frontperson, but Taylor was particularly a brother to him and he to Taylor (by Dave's own description, many times).  So question is, do you go on as the Foos without an essential family member? Should you?

I'm sure whatever they decide they will have thought long and hard about before they decide. I just hope they're all ok.
  • Ah. Gene will be at the LA show

I just went to skim through it again and unfortunately it’s not up anymore. So good that I felt the need to watch some of it again

thought the exact same thing. I think he also paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen with his shorts

I really hope so too, because what I saw of the CBS broadcast that I also saw of the unedited one, they cut out the video messages and a lot of the intros.

Loved seeing TCV back together. It's time for another album and tour, although I'd say persuading John Paul Jones to do it might be the stumbling block. He's 76 now.

I'd never seen or heard them before, they were so good! I also couldn't get over how versatile Josh Homme's voice is. I saw QOTSA a good few times, but not really seen him do other bands or covers, he's really damn good!

The whole Queen thing was amazing too. You could tell a LOT of the Wembley audience was incredibly moved by that in particular, as well of course as the Foos songs & all the emotions there.

Just loved the mixing and matching of musicians and the inter-generational angle to it all. Love & respect will get a lot of stubborn people to do a lot of things they didn't think they'd do again... it was beautiful to behold.
  • From what I have seen it was incredible. Can’t imagine being there wow. Hope the Foos don’t give up! Selfishly, I want to see Dave live.

I can’t imagine he’s too old to at least get in the studio… LFG TCV
