It’s funny to go back to the first few pages of this thread. 8 years ago. Wild.

It’s funny that I realized they were better than PJ even back then.

My friend got me a ticket to go see them for the first time with her this summer. Been listening to them more and more, all good stuff. Lyrics are really good. I never really knew of them.
Really digging the Tropical news song off the new album I think!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I attended the National's FTPOF listening party at my local indie record store today. Their new album sounds good! :plus_one:

I don't recall ever having any fulfillment problems with Merchbar.

I have high hopes for this record. The last one kinda started to grow on me when I just thought of it as a National side project.

You get the vinyl already?  Cherry Tree seems to be going to 10 club route and printing the shipping label 10 days ago and no movement.

This album is amazing. Best since Trouble Will Find me for sure. But it may be my second favorite National record

Been digging it too. My wife and daughter were out of town for two days so I decided to listen to their discography in order. Right now it’s third in my ranking behind High Violet and Sleep Well Beast, but there’s a good chance with it wil supplant SWB with a little more time.

Great show last night.  Auditorium Theatre is an incredible venue....last time I was there was for EV solo show in 2008.  They changed the set up quite a bit from the first night.  Only thing I didn't like was closing it out with one of the new songs Send for me.  Vanderlyle is always a perfect closer for them.
