People change, you know. Also, they are complicated.

I don't know the man. I don't find him particularly funny. I don't think he could act his way out of a paper bag. I also think the resurfaced tweets are disgusting.

Having said that, he reached out and helped one of the funniest, most promising actors of our time when she was essentially homeless, so that certainly puts a few coins on the just side of the morality/karma scale, does it not? He has also apologized to the LGBTQ+ community, listened to their grievances, said that he has changed and stands with them in the fight for equality. He also put it to the LGBTQ+ community (of which, assuming from your catalogue of posts and threads detailing your heterosexual romantic relationships [or lack thereof], you are not a member) to accept his apology and take him at his word about his change. Up to that community if they want to dig in their heels and continue to be outraged or accept the olive branch and another soldier in the good fight.

Discrimination and prejudices are learned behaviors, and they can just as easily be unlearned.
His other films suck (Fatherhood wasn't the worst), but True Story (limited series) was super good because of him. He knocked it out of the park. Just responding to your comment about his acting skills.... I feel like he's grown in that arena anyway. He's another one of those comedians who are way better actors when they are playing serious roles. Just like Robin Williams and Jim Carrey.
What movies were either of those two guys better in than the funny movies they made?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
    Good Will Hunting

    2 out of 3 ain't bad.
(Williams was awful in GWH, to me.  Such overacting!)
I think Carrey never came close to Dumb & Dumber or Ace Ventura.  Man in the Moon was pretty good...and I did very much enjoy the movie you called out.
Robin Williams?  Funny comic (Although supposedly a big joke thief) but I don't think he ever beat Mork.  He did act in some movies where he was funny but also serious.  I could see more where you are coming from with him....but Carrey doesn't fit, to me.

I’d only be impressed if the biggest musical performer is a Pearl Jam fan.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

Saw Bronson Arroyo (already mentioned) side stage in Charlottesville 2013. Saw many NY Jets players (Jumbo Elliot, John Hall, Wayne Chrebet...) in VIP tent at Jones Beach in 2000, that was a cool spot for a show, good to know the head of security at the time LOL

I am not famous, but I do have a baseball card.. i played 12 professional seasons.. pitched in the MLB in 2000.. My ‘06 walk up song when I with the Richmond Braves AAA team was Hold On.. Also used Breakerfall, and a few others in 2001, 02 when i was playing for the Nashville Sounds.. been a PJ fan since 1992 when I was in high school. Was a teammate of Bronson Arroyo’s for 8 years between the minors and mlb with Pittsburgh. We used to play guitar on the road together..

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I saw a rapid fire 20 questions type interview with Matthew Lillard where he was asked his favorite band and he said Pearl Jam. Just in case we needed another reason to love him
