Tour Jealousy

Anybody else see the way some other bands tour and get a little jealous of their fanbases? I kinda do. Phish is starting a two-week run through the northeast tonight in Mansfield.

Mansfield (Thurs)
Mansfield (Fri)
Bangor, ME (Sat)
Philly (Tues)
Philly (Wed)
Bethel, NY (Fri)
Bethel, NY (Sat)
Hartford (Sun)
Jones Beach (Tues)
Jones Beach (Wed)

10 shows in 14 days, all between Maine and Philadelphia. That would be one helluva summer vacation if Phish was your band.

Hell yes. I feel this way all the time. Phish, 311, DMB etc… all bands I’m not a fan of but WISH Pj would tour like that.

Jealous yes. But more frustrated that some of the bands I love can’t/won’t change up their setlists on a nightly basis. More than a few bands I would travel to see or follow to multiple stops if they did.

Thinking of how much joy that would give a Phish fan is pretty damn awesome!

It's tough.  Foo Fighters used to tour heavily too.

Not everyone does though.  Especially as they get older.   Sure I'd like them to tour more.  On the flip side I'm happy they still tour and there are opportunities to see them.    One day there will be zero touring :(

Counting northeast shows when tours are announced has become a hobby.

Yep.  Every summer I see the DMB tour dates and become so damn jealous.  Would be incredible if I could count on PJ coming to town for 2 shows every year.

Springsteen has eleven shows combined in New England, New York and New Jersey, and that is before adding any possible second nights.
