UMG pulling "Dance of the Clairvoyants" video from Youtube?

My video of "Dance of the Clairvoyants" from Ohana Encore last year just got pulled from Youtube because of copyright claim from UMG.  A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him for the SAME SONG from Encore.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

UMG is absolutely pulling videos from Gigaton songs.  If you look at the copyright information, the older catalog belongs to Pearl Jam.  This album appears to be controlled legally (at least at some level) by UMG.  I went to post a full show this weekend and it would have been blocked because of two Gig songs.  So now they have to be stripped.

Because generally you don’t own your recording if it contains copyrighted material. Anytime you broadcast anything someone else owns it can get pulled

Yes it can, but the difference appears to be ownership of the catalog.

    True.

Even if PJ doesn’t enforce it on their older catalog I assume they could.  They might not care, but I assume it’s still infringement? UMG is just enforcing theirs I assume

Absolutely.  PJ just has been really open about their online presence since the beginning.
