I’ve had some incredibly lucky breaks in my life, including having 2 of my books adapted brilliantly for the screen: Into the Wild, by @seanpenn, released in 2007; and Under the Banner of Heaven, by @dlanceblack, which is streaming right now on Hulu. No less incredibly, the soundtracks for both projects were created by musicians in my favorite band, Pearl Jam: @eddievedder wrote most of the miraculous tracks for Into the Wild, and Jeff Ament @officialament created the ominous, eerie, perfect score for Under the Banner of Heaven (with Josh Klinghoffer, John Wicks, and Josh Evans).     Another one of his books, Into Thin Air, is a non-fiction masterpiece. The movie version(s) suck donkey ballz though.

    Never saw the movie but agree that ITA is an amazing book.  Liked it far more than either of the others mentioned.

    This edition of “Into The Wild” is inscribed and signed by author Jon Krakauer, who donated this copy of his book to support The 2024 Jeff Ament’s Army Fundraiser, Big Sky Jam 2.  Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder composed and recorded the soundtrack for the 2007 film version of "Into The Wild." Jon thinks the soundtrack is amazing, and he is a huge fan of Pearl Jam, Jeff, and Ed. All proceeds from this auction will be divided between the Montana Skatepark Association and Girls On Shred, organizations supported by Jeff Ament, co-founder and bassist of Pearl Jam.
