Expected Set Time Start?
So tickets (at least for LA1, LA2, and LV) say 7:30PM.
I'm guessing based on my memory of past tours, this means that the opening band will be on at 8, probably play 20 minutes, and then Pearl Jam will be on at 8:30? Or are we thinking PJ is on at 9?
Trying to plan some stuff beforehand so just want to make sure I get there in time.

I’d guess opener on time, PJ @ 92006: Hartford
2008: Camden 2, Hartford
2010: Hartford
2013: Wrigley, Worcester x2, Hartford
2015: NYC
2016: Philly 2, MSG x2, Boston 2, (TOTD Philly 2, MSG)
2018: Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Boston x2
2022: San Diego, Sacramento, Las Vegas0 -
didn’t they used to play 8.20 ish to 11.05ish in the old days with openers? Gotta keep an eye on the 11pm union backline costs in these tight economic times plus the cost of bringing round an opener.0

Josh probably plays 30-35 minutes. New band , not a ton of material. I would guess 8:20 start, for 11:00 curfew. 2 hours 40 minute set.Bridge Benefit 1994, San Francisco 1995, San Diego 1995 1 & 2, Missoula 1998, Los Angeles 2000, San Diego 2000, Eddie Vedder/Beck 2/26/2002, Santa Barbara 2003, Irvine 2003, San Diego 2003, Vancouver 2005, Gorge 2005, San Diego 2006, Los Angeles 2006 1 & 2, Santa Barbara 2006, Eddie Vedder 4/10/08, Eddie Vedder 4/12/08, Eddie Vedder 4/15/08, 7/12/2008, SF 8/28/09, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/1/09, LA 10/06/09, LA 10/07/09, San Diego 10/09/09, Eddie Vedder 7/6/2011, Eddie Vedder 7/8/2011, PJ20 9/3/2011, PJ20 9/4/2011, Vancouver 9/25/2011, San Diego 11/21/13, LA 11/24/13, Ohana 9/25/21, Ohana 9/26/21, Ohana 10/1/21, EV 2/17/22, LA Forum 5/6/22, LA Forum 5/7/22, EV 10/1/22, EV 9/30/230

Plus, he's playing with PJ. I have to imagine that's a lot to do in one night.

I guess 8450

If curfew is mostly 11... they really have to be on by 830. Hopefully we curfew broke a couple times.
Josh probably gets 5 songs on 25 to 30m. There isn't much set change since Josh Is a 1 man band. He will be off by 8 I would think amd it should be am easy transition.0 -
Does anyone know if all the venues/arenas on this May leg have a curfew? Are their any venues that don't have a curfew? Ive tried some google searches but its kinda vague."I got memories, I got shit"0

Remember that the Ohana shows were all a bit shorter than we've come to expect from Pearl Jam. Presumably, that was a function of the festival nature of the show and venue-specific restrictions, but it is also possible that shorter shows are the new normal. We'll see.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0

At least in recent years, festival shows have always been a bit shorter. So the length of the Ohana shows wasn't that surprising.BF25394 said:Remember that the Ohana shows were all a bit shorter than we've come to expect from Pearl Jam. For example, Santiago, Chile 1 in 2018 wasn't a festival show and was 30 songs: https://pearljam.com/tour/history/show/santiago
But then Santiago, Chile 2 a couple days later at Lollapalooza Chile was only 24 songs: https://pearljam.com/tour/history/show/lollapalooza-chile-1526667864
So just roughly guessing the festival shows are usually around 2 hours and the non-festival ones are more like 2 hours and 30 minutes.0 -
I think there will be some disgruntled fans if we get 20-22 song shows with a quarter of those songs being from Gigaton. I'm happy to hear the new material but I think part of the draw, especially for those that travel to see this band, is that you're treated to a 2.5-3 hour experience with a variety of songs - old, new, popular, deep cuts, etc... If the number of songs played at a show starts to decrease significantly then I think the portion of their fan base that travels to see them will do so far less regularly.0

Not sure what to expect. Will PJ keep up the 3 hour barn burners that've been doing on the tours they were doing pre-covid, or are they going to go back 2 to 2.5 shows like the old days?
Those shows at the end of of the '13 tour with Mudhoney opening, they went late. I think the one in Vancouver ended around 12:30. The Seattle one wasn't much better.
I'm guessing if they want the shows to end at a reasonable time, the opener comes on at 7:30, plays for 30 minutes, 30 minutes to changeover the state, then they go into it.
If they plan to have shorter sets. Then I could see the opener starting at 8, switchover at 8:30 and band on at 9.
I hope we get the barn burners, but with an opening band that wreaks havoc with using transit

2016 with no opener was typically ~8:30 on stage and off between 11 and 11:30. 30-35 song set. My guess for this tour is a bit less than that, Josh 7:45 - 8:15 or so? and then maybe PJ onstage 8:45ish and end a bit after 11. 26-30 song set avg.Barrie - '98

Over/Under is 2.5 hrs. Anything less and I will be slightly disappointed0

Opener will come on at posted time. PJ will probably come on 75 minutes after posted start time, so 8:45.10/1/94, 6/22/95, 6/24/95, 9/16/96, 7/22/98, 10/21/01, 6/1/03, 10/25/03, 10/26/03, 9/1/05, 7/15/06, 7/18/06, 8/28/09, 10/07/09, 10/3/12, 11/26/13, 6/18/18, 8/10/18, 5/12/22, 5/13/22, 5/13/24, 5/25/240

Anybody know if there is any stream going on tonight0

They are old.0
-
Many bands played shorter at an early age and longer as they aged. Not better or worse, each needs to do what is best for them.0

Looks like Josh (Pluralone) took the stage right at 7:30"I got memories, I got shit"0
