Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay, things to do, and where to go out in Las Vegas? I am going with 3 of my buddies in early August, thinking about staying at the Wynn, and none of us have ever been to Vegas.

We are staying at the Tuscony Inn and Suites and have a few times. About a block off the strip, but nice... clean...affordable!!

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

priceline your hotel ... i stayed at trump a month or so ago for $75 ... great deals now ... as for stuff to do: it's basically:

casinos, shows, clubs - other things you can do are tours to grand canyon, hoover dam, golf, hike

of the shows i've seen - the cirque du soleil LOVE stands out ... there is like a cheap ticket day of thing at the Fashion Mall shopping centre - go there for cheap tickets ...

We've stayed at the Mirage and Treasure island..both were great

Like someone else said there is plenty to do each day just by walking around and finding things

I've seen Mystere and the show O...both were very good

a couple days we chilled by the pool and then went out at night to the Palms...The Ghost Bar was cool and also the club at Rio up on like the 53rd floor ? See through the floor to the street below is cool and plus you have a great view of the strip

Wynn is pretty over rated in my opinion....Bellagio is much better, depending on night of week you can score nice rooms at deep discounts! I stay there a lot when I go to Vegas...you can usually get a penthouse suite for $700 a night and the VIP lounge is pretty badass, free Grey Goose, free GOOD wine, loads of snacks (ALL comped)...Wynn has a VIP room, but no goodies...... ;)

    not sure...but there's this...

Bootleg Canyon Flightlines consists of a multi-run and multi-line series of lines that range in length from 1150 to 2550 feet. After guests assemble at the base for orientation, training will be provided on an 833-foot long practice run that will allow them an opportunity to become familiar with the system. The practice run will also give anyone having second thoughts a chance to back out before being committed to the full tour experience. But for most it will only heighten the excitement for all that lies ahead. Afterwards, groups of approximately 12 guests are shuttled up to the top of Red Mountain where they will begin their descent on a series of 4 lines flying across canyons at speeds of up to 50 mph. The entire tour package will last approximately 2.5 hours and covers a total of 1.56 miles.

If you go downtown, there is a cafe in the basement of Binion's that has the best fucking French Dip ever. And its cheap.

My lady and I went last year for 10 days, my first time. It was the best time I've had on vacation. We stayed at the Hilton Grand and the far end of the strip near the The Stratosphere. Perfect spot in that it was away from all the glitz, we didn't bet a penny, saw the Zoomanity show, Carrot Top, Manny Pacquiao/Diaz fight and danced on the roof top of the Rio Hotel during The World Series of Poker was being held.

Some other things I can't remember now but we had a great time and I'm sure you will too.

For what it’s worth, I prefer downtown over the strip. Downtown is like the strip of 20 years ago.

Has it changed a ton since 2006 ish? I guess it has. That was the last time I was there.
