Today begins many follow-up tests to make sure my body’s healing and this little fucker has been annihilated. Or at least gone
Probably won’t get official word for a month or two, but for that, I can be be patient!0 -

My vocal chords are still burned/swollen so I’m constantly thirsty (but water-restricted due to edema) and very raspy. Super low energy but working with physical therapists, overall just feel drained and shitty. I’m told there’ll be improvements in two weeks, then four weeks, etc. so I have to trust in that and my slew of docs. At least the burned skin on my neck is mostly healed, so that’s a positive.Oh, and I have about half the amount of hair I used to have. That one’s small potatoes but stings nonetheless. Fucking vanity, right?I’m trying to keep an optimistic outlook but many days it’s so difficult.
All I can do is wait it out and figure I’ve got a couple months to go.
