I always wondered what happened to them and now I know.
Interesting that the lead singer went to Chaminade w people I was friends with. I never knew that either.
I still love this song. Thanks for posting!
EDIT: Apparently the lead singer became a director too.Post edited by tempo_n_groove on0 -
That was really interesting, makes me wonder what other 'simple' sounding pop songs have more of a back story than you would expect.
I actually saw Wheatus in 2019 at a festival, and I think they had three or four female backing singers, who barely contributed at all. I remember thinking it was weird that a band of that size, who probably do have to consider costs of touring, would pay for these unnecessary members to tour with them.0 -

So I have heard the college radio stations playing this song for it's 25 year anniversary. They were a one hit wonder but the song they left behind is to me, a masterpiece.
The song is Brimful of Asha by Cornershop. I also added a commentary about the lyrics. It is focused on the world of Bollywood. It was very informative to learn what some of the lyrics meant like Sadi Rani (our Queen).
Enjoy.https://youtu.be/lM7H0ooV_o8

I was listening to a playlist on Spotify earlier and when it finished it started playing random suggestions, one of which was a Silverchair song from their first record. At first, I couldn't help but think about how cliched it sounded, but then I was struck by how well it fitted in with the other music that was around at the time - the music and lyrics were comparable with bands who were at least 10-15 years older than them, which is kind of impressive in itself.0
