Sound Issue- Debut Carbon- FIXED

Hoping somebody can help me out. Here's the issue:
During playback, some parts of the music are very faded, nearly inaudible. For example- during 'The Trial' on The Wall, the schoolmaster's voice is barely audible. This happens on other records as well. At first I thought I was hearing things, but I listened to it on Spotify, and then my player, and there's a clear difference.
I've done a few things to try and sort the problem, such as:
-Removed the banana plugs and put the wire straight into the posts
-Disconnected the isolated pre-amp and connected to the phono pre-amp on the amp
-Rebalanced the tonearm
-Used that paper alaignment tool to check the cartridge, it seems fine
-Checked the balance of the speakers- it's at neutral
None of the above made any difference at all. Does anybody have a suggestion?

I'm going to put the red back in and see if that changes anything.
Edit- switched out the stylus. Made no difference to the sound issue.
So I changed speaker cables and still nothing. Started to worry my amp had a serious issue, when I noticed a small switch on the back that changes the output from mono to stereo. It was set on mono, and when I changed it, well, problem solved. It's a new amp, so I haven't played around with that much. But we're all good.
