that facial expression with pursed lips and furrowed brow from that era always makes me chuckle.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

DukeSpirit - you’re right! That’s the one…Thanks man, I appreciate it.0

An article so bad even Courtney Love wrote a letter to the editor0

It’s all third party accounts. So contextualize as you will. A lot of these pieces fit with what we officially know. You don’t have to follow the article’s narrative.DC '03 - Reading '04 - Philly '05 - Camden 1 '06 - DC '06 - E. it seems like there's a lot of crossover in some of the quotes in the article and some of the unauthorized books that have been put out. I don't recall reading this article before but many of those quotes ring a bell.OceansJenny said:It’s all third party accounts. So contextualize as you will. Yes agreed it all felt familiar. Plus a lot of these quotes aren’t even saying anything bad.HughFreakingDillon said:

I didn’t know he was a big theater actor before this article. In the recent audible recording he mentioned he loved (maybe still does) reading plays. I mean that fits. Plus the scarf/mourning seems very young Ed. I think Black is about that girlfriend.
Ed hustling at the Baccanal also just makes logical sense. He wanted to make music his life. Who wouldn’t want to get close to as many people in the biz as possible.Post edited by OceansJenny onDC '03 - Reading '04 - Philly '05 - Camden 1 '06 - DC '06 - E. Mourning in a very... extroverted way is part of every teen having their heart crushed, is it not?
Dave A talks about Eddie and how he was networking (maybe he framed it more as "sucking up", don't remember) with famous people in the biz when he was in the band. In the podcast interviews he did. So I guess that kind of networking is part of Eddies ways.
Mike McCready once said in an interview or if it was the PJ20 book that Eddie is the one with Neil Youngs phone-number, and not the other guys in the band. Don't remember the context.Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
Has Vedder ever commented on the Abruzzezese firing? Why he was fired, etc.
All I ever find is what Stone says about it.0 -

Yeah it all kind of fits. If you take out the narrative slants and listen to the facts, and all of the stuff the band members say individually, nothing is completely out of line.Spiritual_Chaos said:OceansJenny said:

Mike McCready once said in an interview or if it was the PJ20 book that Eddie is the one with Neil Youngs phone-number, and not the other guys in the band. Don't remember the context.Eddie moving on from Bad Radio because they weren’t serious enough, with Eddie making fliers by himself to try and promote the band, fits with his approach to early Pearl Jam and the Baccanal hustle. He mentioned the flier thing on Howard Stern after Howard got on him for never wanting to be in a big band. And then “take me straight to the studio” when he first landed in Seattle - he said that was because he was excited because the music was so good, but I feel like it’s because he was serious and wanted to see if this band was on the same page and if this was worth his time (unlike Bad Radio).
My favorite is still Eddie’s explanation for “Glorified version of ‘I hate this song’” - made me think of the acting comment.
