You have to be kidding, right? Chris Christie running for POTUS as the savior of the repub party and on a platform of "truth?" Are you kidding me? He was the POOTWH candidate, as NJ Gubner, before there was a POOTWH. This freaking guy. But knowing 'Murica and its short attention span and collective memory loss, he'll get backing and votes.

Just watched Nicole Wallace interview him on MSNBC plugging his book. First, how can we take this guy seriously based upon the title alone? He's equating Joe Biden and dem policies with Truth Deniers and Conspiracy Theorists. Really? Second, during the interview, he refused to condemn POOTWH or whether to say he'd support him if he was the party's nominee. Third, he refused to embrace Liz Cheney and he refused to disavow or condemn Faux News. Fourth, he also doesn't regret or feel he owes anything for creating the monster that POOTWH became because he told "the truth" starting on the morning after the election, that POOTWH lost, after supporting him from the nominee on. Fifth, he also was very easily made testy and it was clear Nicole got under his skin with her questions, which were fair and not attacks. He doesn't possess the temperament to be POTUS, too much like POOTWH in the "don't challenge me" department. Sixth, he denied he is running for POTUS. Seventh, his whole spiel seems to be, "I'm a truth teller, POOTWH happened, nothing to see there, let's just move on." The politics of forgetfulness and no accountability. Refreshing. Eighth, he wouldn't outwardly agree that white supremacists are the greatest threat to domestic security, per the testimony of FBI Director Wray but rather tried to both sides it with ANTIFA, mentioning Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, NYC. When Nicole followed up on the ANTIFA comparison, he said it was her opinion and that they were "equal" threats in a testy way.

The guy who shut down all but one lane on a bridge approach to punish a mayor that wouldn't endorse him and who closed a state beach so that he and his family could have it all to themselves on one of the busiest dates of the year wants to be POTUS? GTFOH. Say no to bullies. Guy is a POS. His "truth campaign" should get him a white cape, and a hood, as make no mistake, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing and what POOTWH and his ilk have paved the road for.

    Not sure if true but I saw some reporting that tRump is trying to get Desantis to publicly state that he will not run in 2024 if tRump does.

    I'm thinking tRump/DeSantis is the idea but I still think the GOP (the normal ones) would rather not have tRump run.

    I don't know that Trump/DeSantis makes a lot of sense. They're basically the same. At that point they may as well go Trump/Trump (Jr. or Ivanka). I would guess the GOP loves DeSantis being the Trump of Florida and it makes a ton of sense for them want DeSantis to do just step aside in favor of Dear Leader. And while the "normal" GOPers would rather not have Trump run, I don't think that's actually a critical mass of people.

    Obviously, the running mate isn't going to be Pence...but maybe no politician. I think the strategy to add a career politician to the ticket of an inexperienced guy is no longer relevant because 1) Trump was president for four years and 2) MAGA detests career politicians that waver from MAGA even a little bit. My gut feeling was Candace Owens but she would be a few months short of 35 on inauguration day, which makes me think she can't be on the ticket. But I have to think it's going to be someone more like her (i.e., pundit) than DeSantis (i.e., "establishment," or politician).

    Especially since it looks like trump is getting indicted, someone needs to call him a criminal from inside the bubble. 

    Preferably if he is getting indicted, charges linking him to the deaths of Capitol police officers would have been the best path. Not sure the right is going to care whatsoever about the docs case.

    this is a potentially dangerous situation as trump can seriously win, and he’d be a hundred times more dangerous as president than seven years ago. Christie deserves some credit so far. But the left continues its goofies. Tweets like mueller she wrote actually helps the right. I thought this’d be obvi, but silly me.
