Lol all the best writers starting to say Boone will be back. What a disgrace.
That's no surprise, the days of firing people like it's a bodily function are long gone for the Yankees. They haven't fired a coach during the season since 1995.
Wasn’t Buck fired after the season?
Right the point being that managerial changes don't just occur on a whim with the Yankees anymore as they've had three since 1995 and they don't just change just for the heck of it. I'd personally like to see what Boone can do without any interference from the nerds.

But didn’t we see that this year. Higgy batted over Sanchez then the next at bat odor batted over that equally shitty kid from the Bronx

To expand on my thought. They were only a 40 something run differential, jays were 150+, I don’t get that. But this team should have been closer to .500 than what they were, granted they were shit. So Boone has that going for him. Their record was actually better than they should have been.

I just hate the lazy approach to the regular season. Just no flow of the game. The sanche/odor situation was just an example. It’s just terrible

I said it before but the more I think about it, the more I want them to move on from Cashman. Love the guy, but it’s time for new ideas

That's probably more the system than Boone that the record is what it was?

I can't say I'm surprised and neither should anyone who has been following their public statements closely: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/32386538?fbclid=IwAR38jWkeai4zMhAbE8U3ZFuMwTg1AXHS0HYyzJDk0Ss8yx_3kF1Wsd3laB8

I don't agree with it, but what can you do.  Seems like they are in cruise control from my perspective.

Would like to see what he could do in San Diego. I don't think they're heavy into analytics

No. He's no Mattingly. But as you can see the Giants went full analytics and made Kapler a good manager

True.  He can still run and he is married to a Playmate.

Hardly surprising that they brought him back. Their previous public statements seemed to indicate that it would happen as long as the team finished with a winning record.

It's outrageous though.  They have made the ALCS once, have regressed and finished 3rd this year.  I get this isn't George's Yankees, but Girardi was let go for a looooot less.

Times change I guess with the Yankees, that's the only thing I can tell you.
