Can anyone recommend a strong boot with a decent-sounding version of the song, "Rival"?
Thanks-

    unfortunately, this awesome song is so rare that i don't have many boots that have it, so this is my favorite of the few i've heard

    they played it at jones beach 2000, i was there, but for some reason there is no solo in the middle, so that loses points in my opinion!!
    "I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young
  • Cool. I'll check out Cincy and Milan. Cheers!

    You asked for a strong boot AND a good version of rival and this is it, in my opinion. From Jones Beach, NY Aug 24 2000;

    Rival

    From the same show, Daughter (It's OK)

    Las Vegas 06 has a top version, together with perhaps the greatest Little Sister and Rats I've heard.

    I agree with Jones Beach 8/24/00 - one of my favorite shows, and the Daughter w/It's OK tag was amazing.

  • Thank you all for replying to my question about a good live version of Rival. I appreciate all your recommendations. Never thought I'd get so many so quickly. Pearl Jam fans are the fuckin best...

    Been in one of those moods where you break out all the old original albums and play them all. Damn, they are like fine wine. They just get better with age!

    On another note: Still waiting on my Camden 2 boot. That's the only show I was able to make on this last tour. If it sounds anything like the '06 Camden 2 boot (very under-rated), it should be great. C2 was a very high-intensity show this tour.

    Cheers!

    According to the set list on the website, they haven't played Rival since Mansfield 2003, so I don't think they played it in Vegas 2006.

    They didn't. I was there and own the boot. No Rival.
    Correct on it having "Little Sister" but no Rival.
