Pearl Jam started to remove live videos from youtube?

A bunch of videos from Sea Hear Now is gone from youtube, and trying one old link for DOTC gives me this:

I know Guns N' Roses sweeps youtube to remove live videos. But... Pearl Jam?

Eh what is this? Universal working on their own like when SKYNET became selfware on Aug 29 1997 and sent nukes towards Russia? Pearl Jam's management has gone GNR?

I noticed this too. Bunch of videos were up the morning after. Tons (all?) are gone now.

Disappointed you only got in a Terminator 2 reference. Needs more KISS and Freddy Kruger.

That’s really weak if true.  This band has allowed fans to “bootleg” shows since ‘95, not sure what the difference is.

Not necessarily the band. Unless it's from the tenclub. UMG or Sony even blocks on the band's official YouTube as well.
And like I said before the RIAA also removed one.

For the record, the band has only explicitly allowed non-professional hand-held audio recording. They've never allowed videotaping.

lol.....Love ya PJ, come on... This is the world we live in now, you haven't noticed all of those devices pointed at you all of these years now? Who gives a shit, not everyone can make it to a show, let people enjoy it through some half ass live recordings...  what's next, limited merchandising so other people can make a profit off it on secondary markets?

Yeah, they've removed youtube videos in the past. This is nothing new.

Never heard of them removing someone filming a show with their iphone before.

Brandi Carlile posted a link to her own performance with the Highwomen from an awards show this week and that got taken down. There could be an issue larger than Pearl Jam here. (Or the band's business could have made another in a long series of questionable decisions.)

Sounds to me like a new management decision. Right after Kelly retired didn’t this management go after a cover band because the name was too close to Pearl Jam?

Who'd have thunk when I named the band "Pearl Jamm" it would raise a red flag?

Damn I didn’t even realize Kelly retired. How long has he been gone?

Thanks PJNB & OceansJenny!  So 100% record company moves on removing videos...  that's a bummer.  Brandi Carlile's label removing a video of her own performance that she posted herself is particularly absurd and icky!

I don’t really know why they would care about some cell phone videos. I would think more exposure is good but what do I know.

What does the RIAA have to do with a live performance - they don’t own the music...
