25 year Pearl Jam celebration in Asbury Park

In 1996, when I was in college, I took my younger sisters who were 12 and 13 to see Pearl Jam at Randall's Island. It was our first PJ show & we loved it. We've gone to lots of shows over the years in several states. The biggest diehard among us has seen them internationally too.

So we just realized that the sea.here.now coming up this weekend is going to be the 25th anniversary of us going to shows. this means more than I can describe. 

25 years of glorious concerts, tailgating, hanging out near MSG, traveling, turning our husbands into fans. Sharing music. We even had a life size cut out of Eddie singing at my sister's wedding, courtesy of her mother-in-law. Not sure how this family with immigrant parents who grew up in a hip-hop neighborhood (literally blocks from the great DMX) became such PJ fans but we did. 

So we're going this weekend and we will be celebrating. Thank you to Pearl Jam and this whole community for 25 awesome and memorable years.
