Would be cool if the song he was doing with Elton was also on this album. Don't think that sort of stuff  happens anymore
Elton was on Stern show saying

him & Ed did (2) songs together

    one for Eltons lockdown album
    one for Eddies solo album
I will never forget hearing Pearl Jam break into “Philadelphia Freedom” for about 20 seconds.

Great show!! Memories of all day tailgating, oh how I miss them.  I recall that day we hit up Jersey mike s in the morning and bought a bunch of cheese steaks and subs.  Man were they good!!!

interesting, since the guy who told me I was going all in on dad rock for liking the song is the same age as me, and likes (mostly) the same music I do.

I guess I’m the only one slightly disappointed this isn’t new Pearl Jam. I guess we’ll have to wait another 7 years.
Their last album was released at the outset of the pandemic and they haven't even toured yet.
And? 5 song writers in one band. You’re telling me it’s crazy to hope for a few new songs? I am learning to lower all expectations from a “fan friendly band “ perspective. Wish I was a bigger Foo Fighters fan. They seem to thrive on playing shows and releasing new music. The killers released two albums in 2 years after a relatively slow output, thanks to lock down. I don’t think I’m being that unrealistic. Maybe if I was more into merch and toys and colored vinyl I’d be happier?
Getting 5 people to agree to something is harder than just 1.

Pretty much anything NOT played on a pop station or in a teens rotation is Dad rock.  64-84 Rolling Stones rocked.  Anything after that was Dad Rock.

    Today?  It's all Dad Rock...

Chris… are you going to ComicCon this year?

Excited for the album. Liked the song, but a little repetitive. Would be a better 2 and half minute song.
Same thought. Plus another “drive away your feelings” theme.

I’m feeling the Flag Day soundtrack much more right now.

But will take what I can get. Looking forward to the rest of the album.

Id rather listen to Dad Rock than Kid Rock!... who is probably considered Dad Rock also!  :dizzy:
About 10 years ago, I had a few friends convince me to go to a Kid Rock concert.   I wasn't too expensive and didn't involve too much effort so I went.   I had no expectations.

They I had a problem.  I really enjoyed the show.. lol.

People who use the term "Dad rock" as a derogatory term, think Imagine Dragons is rock.
