Kings of Leon rescheduled a bunch of dates. I can’t make the new date now I have to worry about getting a refund. Fuck this. I’m not buying any tickets to any upcoming shows. Everything is such a mess. So happy I got to go to Foos at MSG earlier this year.
Some friends of mine got hosed as well.  Supposed to see them play tonight and found out the day of the show around 1:00.  Sitters lined up for kids, transportation lined up to take a few couples there and back, the works.  This is the new reality of live music I suppose.

The Fall Out Boy cancellation for NYC was around 1:00pm as well. I wonder if that’s a LiveNation cutoff time to make a day of change.

Maybe im stupid but isn’t everyone on these crews required to be vaccinated? And are we still testing the entire band and crew daily? And if a member of the crew tests positive why is the whole show cancelled? Who are we protecting? Especially if the shows requires a vaccination to enter? Im just not getting it honestly. This can’t be the way forward.

For what it's worth, the NBA schedule came out earlier this afternoon and as a result of Knick home games, Rangers home games and concerts already scheduled in March 2022, MSG is currently open for the following dates in March:
    3/1, 3/3, 3/5, 3/7, 3/8, 3/9, 3/10, 3/11, 3/12, 3/17, 3/19, 3/21, 3/23, 3/26, 3/29, 3/31.

While it's not perfect, things have been narrowed down quite a bit, if March 2022 is when the rescheduled dates will happen...
Is this a hint that Pearl Jam is playing a 16 date residency at MSG?

Once you enter the venue with a negative test you’re not allowed to leave until all 16 shows have been played. This will ensure no potential infection.

So with Raptors home on the 18th, Pearl Jam must be March 16th in Toronto.

If we have Ottawa on the 15th then that makes Hamilton the tour closer likely on the 18th. QC would be the 13th. I am going out on a limb and saying 7th/8th/10th/11th is a 4 show run for MSG. I am also betting it starts in California in February.

Videotron Centre head guy seemed to think it was starting in February. Things can change of course as that interview is months old now. Also I put Hamilton as the tour closer for you my man!

NIN cancelled all of their remaining 2021 shows

Its going to be Vaxxed shows or cancel them for the next 2 years.  Up to each band how they choose to proceed.

Still feel that SHN and Ohana will happen with the vaccination requirement as well as the PJ Spring 2022 tour
It is this day to day "are the shows on, are the shows going to be off" type of stuff, along with the looming possibility of added mandates on top of proof of vax (i.e. masks outdoors) that are sucking the fun and enjoyment out of this, for me anyway.  I know many others feel differently.  Being a little over a month away from Ohana I should be amped, especially after a 3 year hiatus.  Hopefully I get to that point eventually.

I hear you. I'm not excited about anything the way I normally would be.
    I feel the same way!

    I HOPE not.

Driving 3,000 Miles in Feb. might not be fun.

Buddy Guy cancelled all his September dates, but looks forward to beginning his tour in October. I wonder if his team is waiting for booster shots, or if they're just cancelling incrementally, depending on the spread.

I suppose I'm stupid as well.  Everyone on the crew / band is vaccinated (lets assume).  The daily Covid tests can pick up an extremely small amount of virus where the infection is asymptomatic (see NY Yankees), yet the show gets cancelled?  If you are vaccinated you have a better chance of being struck by lighting then dying from Covid (or even being hospitalized), so who are you protecting?  Covid is going to be around forever, so lets learn how to deal with it. With all the "protections" being put in place for vaxed people we might as well not let people drive cars, as that is honestly more of a danger to society than Covid is to a Vaxed person.

And yes, tons of shows are going on and I'm not aware of any major sporting event being cancelled because of Covid since vaccines.
