    Given the interest this set has (and NYA knows about it) I could see them trying to get this out sooner rather than later. I know he has a ton on the upcoming list, but WB and NYA has to know they will shift a lot of copies of this. If they are looking for a home run, this is it.

    While this would be great, the couple of clips that I've seen have barely been DVD quality. Blowing up isn't going to help it unfortunately, unless they have a pro-shot HD source hidden somewhere.

    The concert was shot on 35mm. There is no reason this would look good if they do a proper job with it.

    But yes, the clip I saw of Throw your hatred down that was up on Neils site for a minute or two, did not look very good. But I think that one was sub-HD and very compressed. To my recollection.

    ATN just got word that Neil Young recorded his Dublin concert last

    month (performing with Pearl Jam as his back-up band) with an eye to

    releasing it either later this year, or in early 1996. According to

    Young's manager, Elliot Roberts, Academy Award winning director, Jim

    Sheridan (My Left Foot) filmed the concert, with plans to

    release the footage as part of a package with the recording. Warner's

    uber-publicist, Bob Merlis, informs us that it would be unlikely that a

    live album would be released without the film. "Let's just say that

    the album would be driven by the film, rather than the other way

    around." According to Merlis, no one has seen the footage yet--but he

    asks the rhetorical question, "How bad could it be, the guy has an

    academy award, he knows what he's doing."

    Over Neil Young’s long and storied career, a few special shows have earned an almost mythic reputation, thanks to the dubious but nevertheless appreciated (in retrospect) practice of bootlegging.

    Shakey Pictures Records and Reprise Records are now happy to announce the first of a new series - ‘The Neil Young Official Bootleg Series - Carnegie Hall 1970’, available on double vinyl, double CD and High Res Digital on Friday, Oct. 1 2021 and for pre-order starting Friday Aug 20, 2021 at The Greedy Hand Store at NYA. Five more series selections will become available in 2022.

    Nope. #2-5 are set already (to lazy to post) and have the release dates pushed. All were original going to drop at the same time. Mirrorball live won’t see the light of day for a while based on how things usually go with all things Neil.

    Mirrorball Live will be part of the Performance Series, and will be a box set like some of the recent NYA live releases. 
    The Official Bootleg Series will be different series.

    The release dates have changed - only Carnegie Hall will be coming this year - but most of the info about the first 6 releases is here:

    Still bummed they all got pushed. Would have loved to get a massive package will all of those in it. 

    I have a bad feeling they will roll them out one by one over the next couple of years.
