Dave Matthews just switched over to proof of vaccination or a negative test for the rest of his tour.

I was skeptical that requirements like this could be enforced but I am glad so many bands and venues are trying.

  • ^^ agreed !
very happy to see other bands enforcing proof of vaccinations for entry
cause there's a ton of people who have NOT got their vaccine and that baffles me.....

Well if it wasn’t for idiots getting fake vaxx cards to bypass the requirements maybe bands would be a bit more laxed on their wishes! I can’t fault any artist for requesting these steps to get into their shows!

He has always been overrated if you ask me. And his Covid views are nonsense.
  • I don't understand why the Killers stop at just proof of vaccination AND a negative test. Why not ask for blood samples?
I don’t understand people going to a Killers show

The costs alone of having to get a negative test even while vaccinated would mean me catching less shows on any upcoming tour, especially PJ where I’m already spending $$$ to travel

One or the other is plenty
I understand your position on this, and the realities of shouldering additional financial burden. However, I think your last statement oversimplifies our current situation, and places the onus on convenience over safety.

I was surprised by that too. Free and easy to find around here.

If I didn’t check the “I work in healthcare” box, my covid test for Hawaii in June would have cost over 100$

I have no problem getting swabbed before every concert if there’s a free way to do so

But then there’s the risk of losing $$$ on multiple shows if you are asymptomatic test positive.  Are they willing to refund vaccinated guests who have done everything right but somehow test positive before the show?

I just think there would be so many refund requests, before and after the show, and so many more logistical issues if they mandated both, that I think PJ would rather post pone again than do so

Jeff said he was hesitant to even play shows where he would have to demand a vaccine card.  Can’t imagine them ever doing that AND a test, they would just move the shows again.

My ultimate fear is being fully vaccinated and having a false positive the day of a show.

"Thanks for wearing your mask and getting fully vaccinated.  You tested positive so now you're out $100+ for concert tickets, travel costs and time.  But hey, try again next tour!"

I cant imagine any scenario where PJ requires both and allows this ^ to happen.

    This is big

Live Nation will require not only fans, but bands and crew as well, to show proof of vaccination or negative covid test

This could cause some major roadblocks if certain bands aren’t fully vaccinated

This is for all AEG and LiveNation venues, not just in Cleveland (Cleveland news source below)

2021 thread but how long does this go on for and how does this affect PJ's arena shows in 2022? Jeff's interview would have you believe they are not into doing a full tour with this set up.
