Why do people make such a big deal over Big Wave? Is it just because they haven't played it live before SD. I went to the Vegas show and was happy they didn't play Big Wave. To me, it's the worst song on the album. I wanted to hear my favorite songs off the album- Inside Job, Marker in the Sand, and Gone. I can understand the people that have been to many shows and have seen all of the other songs live off the new album, but it seems everyone is making a big deal about it.

It was the FIRST time BW was played, and that (between other things) make the Sd show special.

Thats your opinion and i respect it, but for me and i'm sure many others it is my favourite song on the record and i am excited by the prospect that i may get to hear it live now, sorry if that bugs you.

It doesn't bug me and it's cool that it's your favorite song. I just feel that it's become really popular because they weren't playing on the tour. I'm sure that a large percentage of fans had this song at the bottom of their list compared to other songs on the album.

i was in sandiego and it WAS a big deal .man it smoked .i dont think there is a worst or best song on the new album...it's like 1 big bunch of great songs..i have to say pearl jam is on fire ....

Personally, it is one of my favorites off of the new album, so I was VERY happy to hear that it was played in SD.....I only hope I get to hear it at one of the shows I go to......

I agree with this....when Avocado first came out, a high percentage of people ranked Big Wave towards the bottom of the list in their rankings. By never playing it live until SD, it got built up alot. Not one of my faves but looking forward to hearing it on the boot. ( it is probably a much better live song than studio)

we've heard every other song and have not heard this one- its also considered one of the best on this record to a lot of people- so get outta hea!!!!

Big Wave almost seems like the new God's Dice ... A nice rocking song that people have an irrational dislike for ... Yeah, its kind of weird and different. It doesn't like like Even Flow or some other accessible rock song. Deal with it. Its a fun song.

Love Big Wave....what I wanna know is why is everyone except the cat in front of the cam so dead- the front row is pathetic?!?! wtf? people were complaining about the east coast being dead- c'monnnnnn- those peeple look like statues. Good thing San Fran is GA-that place is gonna be movin!!! Ed looks like he's havin fun- Love this song- can't wait to hear it proper!!!

I was just thinkin, for all the credit the SD show gets that crowd looked like shit, sometimes it makes me very angry about the state of pearl jam fandom. I like Big WAve, cool song. Vocals were lacking in the Utube but that could just be the recording.
