Simmons is definitely part of the problem, BUT Sixers are also to blame... They have been too soft on him and their gameplan when he and Embiid are on the court is atrocious.RiotZact said:

Yes, Simmons has 2 big things to get better (free throws and willingness to shoot - even a mid range), but those writing him off completely are crazy.
I think the Sixers should trade him and even more, Simmons should also demand it. It's not a good fit with Embiid, and really hasn't ever been. Simmons playing a role like Draymond iat GSW would be perfect for him. He is not a PG, he's a playmaking forward and needs to be surrounded by shooting at the other 4 spots.I'll ride the wave where it takes me

You’re talking to a shameless Simmons apologist here. If you go through my post history you’ll see that I’ve made excuses for him at every turn. No more. I was in attendance for all 4 Sixers home games in the Hawks series, and watching Ben in those games was the most disheartening sports experience of my life. He is a very good player, and could help several teams in the NBA, but these teams I speak of are fringe playoff teams that would be happy to put up a fight in the 1st round, not a team with title aspirations.No Coder said:

Rose is right that Love didn't earn the spot on the team. But, I don't think he did himself any good by saying he's a "Token" pick for the team. Plus, Rose saying Deandre Ayton deserved the spot is just laughable. Ayton is not an American/American Citizen.

I wonder how the team will play when 3 players(Booker, Middleton & Holiday) won't be getting into Japan until just about in time for the first game(VS France). I know it's not the same team that played in the World Championship, but France is a good team, who beat them. Could be a tough game since it's the first game of the Olympics.0 -
