I would like us to continue on the movie path for one more 'WEAKEST LINK'. I decided to go with one of some of my all-time favorite comedy films, so we can now discuss which of these films in the best comedy from the ones selected. Pick the film that you think is the WEAKEST LINK from the ones provided. I do know there are MANY comedies that are just as funny as any of these and some probably better. But, when I was putting together a list of just 10, these are the ones that came to mind. Again, thanks to everyone who plays.

Now to the 3rd Round to determine the BEST of these SELECTED COMEDIES.

You are going to pick the film that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove the two (2) movie with the most votes. We will then move on to ROUND 4

SELECTED COMEDY FILMS
Blazing Saddles (1974)
Young Frankenstein (1974)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Animal House (1978) - Eliminated Round 2
The Jerk (1979)
Airplane (1980) - Eliminated Round 2
Caddyshack (1980)
This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
The Naked Gun (1988) - Eliminated Round 1
Dumb and Dumber (1994) - Eliminated Round 1

The cat juggling scene in The Jerk is hilarious but not enough to put it above what's left

I dont think Animal House is that 'funny' of a movie.  Its more of an entertaining college romp with some laughs.

I also think any comprehensive list would have to include:

    Police Academy

    Revenge of the Nerds

    Pee Wee's Big Adventure

It should have a timeline too.  Nothing after 88?

Spaceballs? National Lampoons Vacation?  The Great Outdoors?

I think a lot of comedy movies after 1990 lost that ability to be funny from wall-to-wall like some older comedies from the 70s and 80s were.  They seemed to evolve into being more of a story line and setting up pins to be knocked down.  Often times a romantic sub-plot that takes the wind out.

I find Ferris to be hilarious. Goonies is definitely comedy. Another great movie.

Just thought of Home Alone and Coming to America. So many good comedies

Spaceballs is definitely up there for me anyway. I would say it's my favorite Mel Brooks movie. Plus this came out when i was a kid. I should rewatch Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles though. It's been ages since i've seen those.

It took my awhile to figure it out but this entire list of movies with the exception of Animal House is just lame humor that just isn’t funny, they aren’t my cup of tea.   I cringe when Monty python is on (I m not a fan of English comedy) but to each their own.
Give me Ferris and the goonies over any of these.
