    Yes. It would be nice if the listings were less ambiguous.  Especially because some stuff requires a nearly instant decision to avoid it being sold out.

    There's always exceptions, and you take a chance either way. But most of the time, a pre-order will not sell out quickly. If its a rare item that I have to have, I wouldn't take the chance and I'd just buy it. If they reissue RVM or Lost Dogs, sure I'll grab it here so I don't take the chance of missing out so I can save $10 on shipping. But a 7" that is available for pre-order that would cost me $20 after shipping? I'll gamble, and this time wind up getting it for less than half that on Amazon.

    Yeah, a lot of it doesn't make sense and is just guess work. If I would be that pissed without it, I'd just buy it. But I wouldn't be that pissed about not spending $20 on a 45, so worth the gamble.  I also don't understand the craze for the bats. $100 + shipping seemed like a lot to me, I didn't think they'd sell out that fast. Its just a bat with Pearl Jam stamped on it, right? I mean, if Eddie made it to the minors and this was the same model he used, maybe I can see that. But some of the merch I just don't understand.

    I've only noticed the bats being a preorder and selling out that fast. But I havent paid much attention to clothing and hats lately. Which seems to defeat the purpose of a preorder. Isnt that to see how much interest there is so you know how much to order? I am starting to think they label everything preorder just to confuse us.

    That is the challenge.  10c rarely mentions if they plan on releasing something retail or not, so we're left guessing.   Not too many 7"'s make it to retail, so I ordered it assuming it was 10c only.  Ahh well, can't win them all.

    It would be nice though if 10c would say "Available in our ship and at your local record store" etc.. so we'd know we could save on shipping, and create less garbage (more environmentally friendly).

    I agree, But most  places that do preorders don’t charge until the item ships.

    Still waiting on this to arrive. I bought from 10c because they put an end date on the preorder and stated that they couldnt guarantee the availabity after. Sounded very much like a made to order deal. They really didnt make it clear that it was getting a wider release. They didnt use the word exclusive but we all know about the Ten exclusive they sold. I dont know if its a deliberate marketing strategy to not be clear when they sell things.
    I end up buying so as not to risk having to get on the secondary market.

    Even then I remember when Amazon let me order Sevens and it was exclusive to 10c.
