Is anyone watching this latest Ken Burns documentary?  Really well done.

Sad to see him fall apart at the end.

I remember groaning in high school anytime we were assigned a Hemingway book. And then having the power to just drop a class in college if I saw one of his vapid works on the syllabus after signing up.

I did read A Moveable Feast on my own (recommended by a trusted friend) in my thirties, and (my friend was correct) I actually enjoyed that book.

And Faulkner’s screen adaptation of Hemingway’s To Have and Have Not shows that at least there was some there there.

I'm on episode 3. Great so far.
Some new stuff that I don't recall in other docs, and some rehashed stuff. (But I guess Burns felt it too important to leave out.)
I know what's coming and I'm interested to see how this documentary handles it.

I’m halfway through episode one. I am liking it so far. I just didn’t have time to watch the whole two hours at once. Will take it up again this week.

That interview where he was reading off of cue cards was sad.  I can't believe he agreed to that.
