With Rolling Stone Magazine updating their Top 500 albums of all time, I figured since most of us don't exactly agree with lists, we could take a look at their Top 10 and establish the true best album of all-time.

So here we are in ROUND 2 to determine the BEST album in the Rolling Stone Top 10.

You are going to pick the album that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove another two (2) songs with the most votes. We will then move on to Round 3.

Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 10 Albums of ALL-TIME
1. Marvin Gaye, 'What's Going On'
2. The Beach Boys, 'Pet Sounds'
3. Joni Mitchell, 'Blue' (ELIMINATED - ROUND 1)
4. Stevie Wonder, 'Songs in the Key of Life'
5. The Beatles, 'Abbey Road'
6. Nirvana, 'Nevermind'
7. Fleetwood Mac, 'Rumours'
8. Prince and the Revolution, 'Purple Rain'
9. Bob Dylan, 'Blood on the Tracks'
10. Lauryn Hill, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' (ELIMINATED - ROUND 1)

There are so many Marvin Gaye songs that I really love.

Wow, lots of votes for probably the best album of social commentary ever.

It was a music choice, for me.
Those songs sound very similarly to one another and it was boring to listen to.  Would love to sprinkle some of those tunes into a playlist, any day.

There are a few tunes that I like from this album, but it's not their best (in my opinion) and I can easily think of other albums that are better. (again, IMO)
    I LOVE MUSIC.

I just don't really go for Fleetwood Mac. Not my thing.

I would rather Sgt Peppers or Revolver be in the top 10.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

I figured Prince would be around longer than Marvin.  Guess not.

Anyone picking Purple Rain to go out before Nevermind has never played an instrument in their lives.

Or they just like that they can learn every song on Nevermind within a few weeks, whereas you could try your entire life, but you ain’t coming close to what Prince could do unless you’re goddamn Prince.

Eh, Prince is the most overrated guitarist I've ever heard of.  Sure, he can play, but he didn't master or reinvent the instrument like the greats he's classed with.  He's second tier.  There are bar bands and cover bands out there with guitarists at least as good and better.
Nirvana was different.  They bucked trends and changed the landscape of music.  Purple Rain didn't.
It wasn't even the best album of '84, Ride The Lightning and Born in the USA are better.
