Anyone calling Bernie Sanders a socialist doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
Anyone who thinks Canada, Sweden, Norway, Denmark or most of Western Europe are socialist do not know what socialism is.

Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Every one of those countries listed have successful private enterprise corporations who are as thoughtless and careless and lacking social conscience as any in the US. The difference between the aforementioned nations and the US is a solid social safety net including healthcare and the governments are secular.  Laws are also in place to prevent government from gerrymandering and rigging elections. Gun crime is minimal.

People still fall through the cracks and of course nothing is perfect... but there is no denying these nations are safer to live and generally have happier citizens.

    Sanders is not a socialist..

That is all true, except Bernie doesn't actually like how those countries operate.  He uses them as a don't think I am a kook cloak.  If he actually talked about the economics of Canada, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, how they budget and pay for things and how the health care systems in those countries operate, I would be open to hearing more from him.  But that ain't what he is doing.  Maybe he will pivot now, and decide he can't hide from the math, but I don't think he will.  Details are boring to guys who want to be seen as and profess to by revolutionaries (his word not mine) and they want to keep people excited by just promising shit that sounds super awesome and not get bogged down into that math doesn't make sense.

He no longer has any possible chance of victory in this race unless he starts to address the details.
His eminence has yet to show.

What’s wrong with his plan for getting us there? I don’t think he uses those countries as a cloak necessarily. I mean, his plans are out there in the open for those who want to know them.

all of his "plans" have been scored by independent bodies and the math never checks out. So yeah, they are out there in the open to be scrutinized as totally not possible as laid out.

Imagine resenting people who want to take care of humans by taxing those who have a fucking lot of money, in order to pay for things that people who have little, need to survive.
Yeah. Imagine penalizing people who make over 250k a year because according to Bernie, 250k a year is rich. Imagine penalizing the guy or gal who risks their life savings by starting a business. Imagine penalizing the guy or gal who not only takes that risk but manages to employee 20, 50,500 people. Imagine the government running healthcare when it can't even get the mail done without losing billions a year..

US debt is strictly tied to the industrial military complex.  Imagine if just a portion of that went towards the well being of your people.  I mean, your government budgets billions on the military to protect citizens from harm (the never ending war on terror, etc.) for “free” yet won’t protect them from a harmful disease without paying for it? Seems nonsensical to me.
Once again,  Canada’s healthcare system is not perfect and needs work, but I am proud that a homeless person can seek medical attention if needed.  Most of whom have serious mental illness.

Jeff Bezos the individual pays his taxes. Every time he sells stock he pays tax on that.

If you are referring to Amazon the company not paying any taxes well sadly that is nothing but the MSM filling your brain with whatever filler they want to get you to think the way they want you to.

Let high level this for everyone:

Amazon has a huge book profit.
Book profit doesn't equal tax profit.
Amazon issues a ton of stock options to their employees.
You get a tax deduction for those stock options because the employee pays the tax on those options at ordinary rates so the government actually gets more money then if Amazon the corporation paid the tax on them at 21%.
Amazon also has a lot of federal NOLs from all those years of not turning a profit.
The combination of those two are the reason they pay little federal tax federal tax as a company.

The tax system is a mess. Agreed. Hedge fund managers pay less than I do. However, to increase taxes on the people who make 300, 500k  a year is nonsene. It's like your boss at review time saying, great job. You have been kicking ass this year. You are my best employee. I am now going to decrease your pay by 8%....

Quit talking common sense.  Get back to free shit!

But seriously, that flew over most of the people’s heads here.  They just don’t get it yet it is all Trumps fault.  Even though the tax code hasn’t changed much the last 30 years.

Too bad Bernie has no chance to win. He’s way to far left at a time when we should all meet in the middle to fix what horrible state the country is in right now. Socialism may work for a small number of people and a smaller country in size but with how big and diverse America is, I don’t see how it can. It’s a shame. I think Bernie has some great ideas but implementation of those ideas don’t seem plausible here. The main thing besides global warming that America needs to focus on is getting this current administration out of office in 2020.

Glad and to see Ed and family supporting such a good cause. Hopefully lots of good can come from it.

Hey Ed, if you're still supporting Bernie, I got a great tune for you.

And a dominant song in a genre you're making a courageous effort to contribute to.
