Caught Radio City and Brooklyn last weekend and it was so good to hear live Wilco again.  Go see them.  Setlists are not as varied as I would hope, but they are so good live.
Youd be hard pressed to find another non jam band with more varied sets than Wilco. Maybe an unfortunate small sample size that has given you this impression.

I know I have seen the band quite a bit.  There were more repeats than usual. Check the setlists, less varied than in the past.

I looked at the Chicago setlists....I agree that they aren't as mixed as usual.

Yes, the Ode to Joy was by design not as varied as in other years. Certainly not as many deep cuts as in other years, but in general still some differences from night to night. And then they just did three nights in  Mexico without repeats.

I was at the Mexico event.......75 songs over 3 nights with no repeats.....incredible!

Yeah and the sequence was largely the same, I dont think I have ever seen them two nights in a row with the same opener as I did on this tour. Mexico must have been great. The setlists are crazy good!

    mexico was great.....each band member did a music-related workshop/solo show/DJ set in addition to Wilco's 3 performances.

I was surprised how the crowd skewed older, but then again, Wilco has been around for a long time so the fans are aging!

Good point....the all inclusive price was approx $1,700, so if you include flights ( we got ours with miles ), it could easily top $5K per couple

  • Apparently, Jeff Tweedy has been playing some music each night on his wife's instagram page. This is happening each night around 10:30 EST. I am going to be checking this out tonight.

Also, I was disappointed that Tweedy's speaking part in Curb Your Enthusiasm was cut. He does show up as an extra in the background of episode 9 in Latte Larry's though.

Anybody picking up the deluxe Summerteeth?

A little too rich for my blood. I’d like the unmitigated disaster live stuff, though. Maybe a separate special pressing will happen for that similar to PJ’s Orpheum show.

New Jeff Tweedy album next month!

"At the beginning of the lockdown I started writing country songs to console myself... 'Guess Again' is a good example of the success I was having at pushing the world away, counting my blessings — taking stock in my good fortune to have love in my life. Just a few weeks later things began to sound like 'Love Is The King' — a little more frayed around the edges with a lot more fear creeping in. Still hopeful but definitely discovering the limits of my own ability to self." – Jeff Tweedy
