People seem pretty blasé about republicans telegraphing that they are gonna give stealing the election a real shot.  Meanwhile AOC asks to hold them accountable and even liberal members heads are exploding.  I don’t understand this at all. Do you really not believe that they won’t do this, do you all really think the constitution is gonna go voltron style with the liberty bell and the declaration and defend us. After 40 years of this shit and the worst of it in the last 4...this is not ok.

I am not relaxed at all.  If this was happening in any other country in the world we would be calling this a coup.  Here in the US we are stupid enough to think it’s about networks raising revenue, a party drumming up political support for a run off election, a former president trying to stay relevant so he can hold rallies after he leaves office? It’s an attempted coup and so far it looks like most of the higher ups in the Republican Party are complicit.  Republicans are actively casting doubt on our process and acting like this is a normal process.  After everything we have seen the last 4 years how could anyone think this doesn’t have a chance to be successful.   Republicans don’t care about the process, the democracy, or any norms...this could go off the rails really quickly if some people from the other side of the aisle don’t stand up and do something.  Lol we are supposed to be ready to heal the divide in America? Ok well first fucking stand up to trump, if you can’t do that you obviously aren’t willing to work with us (progressives, liberals, democrats etc) anyways.

Like i've said the last few days (i actually predicted this before the election was called)....the democratic party is at war with itself, has been for some time. for 4 years we were all galvanized against the same threat: now that threat is (potentially) gone, they go back to attacking each other IMMEDIATELY. even i thought it would take longer than this. but the fucking day the election was called, people from this side started going at each other again. 

Yes why aren’t people uniting against Donald trump, it’s not over...don’t be so worried about who cost who  a few house seats, that you let authoritarians steal the whole show.  It’s crazy that people are more excited to try to normalize relations with family and friends who are Trump supporters than to make sure he gets the clue that he doesn’t have a chance in hell.  I also don’t believe for a second that if he steals the election that a majority of the 70+ million Trump voters won’t fall in with the bullshit.
