Loved him as Bond, but he totally won me over when Time Bandits came out.A fine looking man at any age, too. The brows, the schnozz, how well he wore a tux...damn.RIP and cheers to his having lived a long, fruitful life.0

Loved him as Bond and his late 80's resurgence in some great films. It's a hopeless situation...0

This notices always catch me off surprise. Very sorry to hear this.I was just thinking about one of his early movies, Zardoz (from 1974), the other day, The costumes were silly but it was a great late night flick. Might have to see that again after all these years. One of the greats.R.I.P. Sean Connery."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Had dementia I just read. Died in his sleep, in Bahamas.
Pure magic as Bond."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

I think it's because he went dark for almost the last 20 years. Kept is aging out of the public eye. Now we'll all remember him for what he was like before leaving the public eye.

He'll always be the best Bond, there's no question for me. There was just an effortless 'cool' about him that the others haven't been able to match. He's also surely everyone's favourite Scottish-Soviet submarine commander as well
Dr No and from Russia With Love were both on TV last night so that was my evening sorted.
This is such a great scene:https://youtu.be/WmTs5bF0-mQ

I bought this poster years ago because my name is Marni (no e at the end of my name - but close enough). My dad always says I was named after this movie. That is where he first heard the name and liked it.0

Later told my dad that I had watched a Hitchcock movie with Sean Connery - and he said Connery was never in a Hitchcock-movie.
So was thought maybe it had not been a Hitchcock movie. Untill a year later or something when I read up on it.
Would like to rewatch it.Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Yeesh. I still dig his work, much as I do Lennon’s, that wife-slapper!
GG, I used to have a childhood friend named Marnie (with an e). She was plucky! I liked the film too, though it’s been a longass time since I last watched it.0 -
Best Bond ever. RipI'll ride the wave where it takes me......0
