  • Some fine frame jobs going on! Better than keeping them all in a flat file collecting dust.

Michaels custom during a 70% off sale. Was over $500 but they wound up giving it to me for free because they botched a few things.

Nothing fancy here, just an off-the-shelf frame from Michaels

Sorry for the double post, just a better look at the frame itself

Michaels has a BOGO on this frame. Also, this poster was run over by the mail truck. Doesn’t look too bad...

Quick question for the self-framers... any advice on keeping a poster in place in a matted frame? I’m fearful of the idea of taping a poster to a matte like the early “professional” framers I used decades ago.

Use these.  They don't touch the art.

Yeah, multiple frames. Good quality, make sure to Google latest coupons. Only issue is the occasional mounting (but seems answered above your post).

This one was a pre-made frame that included adhesive photo corners to stick to the foam board to hold the print in place. Had to cut away some of the excess plastic so that it doesn’t show under the mat. Seems pretty secure though.
