Maybe it’s geographical? Here, there are plenty of MS-13 issues. When I was counseling families, there were major issues with MS-13 and other gangs trying to jump in new youth and having them do their dealings because of their young age and how they get records expunged up to age 18. I've had dozens of interactions with police in my lifetime. I'm sure we all have. Most of them good, a few bad. I've never felt in danger, but I'm white and have always lived in relatively affluent places. I do have empathy for anyone not white dealing with police, almost all seem to have a story where they have dealt with racism from a cop. I see that as a pretty large problem, effecting millions of people negatively.

I don't live in fear of Antifa or MS13. I don't live in areas where they are active. I was just questioning someone who implied they don't even exist.

Yes and no. I do think that some city leaders are responsible for “letting” or enabling the chaos, while other city leaders have taken great steps in bringing communities together instead. In Portland, Chicago, and Seattle, the city leaders completely failed. I think they saw a political opportunity initially with these protests and then let them go too far without consequences. It is only an issue in the neighborhoods where there are large immigrant and undocumented immigrant Hispanic populations. In particular El Salvadorians.
They prey on those more afraid of being deported then they are of MS-13.
Having once lived near an FBi designated MS-13 "hotspot" I never once felt or was actually threatened by them.

If you're black in America there's about a 0.0005% chance of being killed in any given year, if you only consider those unarmed its much lower. Based on the original comment said about MS13, we shouldn't concern ourselves with police issues either.

I don't get the logic of it doesnt impact me, so why should I care. WHich is what this sounds like? You've never suffered from the hands of a gang member, so we shouldnt care or worry about them. Anyone who is concerned, is being duped.

I've had dozens of interactions with police in my lifetime. I'm sure we all have. Most of them good, a few bad. I've never felt in danger, but I'm white and have always lived in relatively affluent places. I do have empathy for anyone not white dealing with police, almost all seem to have a story where they have dealt with racism from a cop. I see that as a pretty large problem, effecting millions of people negatively.
