But here you and others are fretting in your boots seriously concerned, chasing the little glowing dot that Trump wants you to chase. Meanwhile he's compromising your democracy, grifting the country of billions and that isn't even on your radar.
You're being duped. Willingly at this point, because there is no other excuse.
I've had dozens of interactions with police in my lifetime. I'm sure we all have. Most of them good, a few bad. I've never felt in danger, but I'm white and have always lived in relatively affluent places. I do have empathy for anyone not white dealing with police, almost all seem to have a story where they have dealt with racism from a cop. I see that as a pretty large problem, effecting millions of people negatively.
Can't say I've ever knowingly had an interaction with MS 13 or antifa. If I was a fascist or a gangster, I might be more concerned I guess. We do not get many of the “antifa” agitators in this area, though, they seem to congregate in large liberal cities that let their shit go unchecked. Organized group or not, there have been many instances of people claiming “antifa” beating and harassing innocent people, burning private businesses, and now get to add murder to their list of deplorableness.Post edited by PJPOWER on0 -

i don't know that anyone has said they are afraid of antifa. just that people who call themselves antifa are sometimes not representing the cause very well.Yeah, Antifa, and racists are loosely organized groups at best, but they certainly do exist. As an example: In 1970, I agreed (with much hesitation and humiliation) to become a member of an organization a friend at the time proposed: UAOA: United Assholes of America. He declared himself president and chief asshole and wanted me to be treasurer. Fortunately, we never had a meeting and I never collected any dues. I think the next time we got together we got drunk. Anyway, the point is, we never had cards or signed an agreement or anything. We were just assholes."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

I don't live in fear of Antifa or MS13. I don't live in areas where they are active. I was just questioning someone who implied they don't even exist.
And if I was concerned about those things, I shouldn't be, because there's worse things out there?
I'm not being duped, I have zero fear personally for those things. Those who think they don't even exist though are being duped.

If you're black in America there's about a 0.0005% chance of being killed in any given year, if you only consider those unarmed its much lower. Based on the original comment said about MS13, we shouldn't concern ourselves with police issues either.
I disagree, I don't think things have to be at the top of a list to be concerned about them.

For those keeping score at home. to the bolded in the last three paragraphs, who sounds like which? And who is encouraging thier supporters and turning a blind eye? Both sides are the same.
https://www.csis.org/analysis/escalating-terrorism-problem-united-states
As shown in Figure 2, data on the number of terrorist attacks and plots by perpetrator orientation indicate that right-wing terrorism not only accounts for the majority of incidents but has also grown in quantity over the past six years. This increase is reminiscent of the wave of right-wing activity in the 1990s that peaked with 43 right-wing incidents in 1995. The Oklahoma City bombing, which occurred on April 19, 1995, was the second-most deadly terrorist attack in U.S. history, after September 11, 2001.FATALITIES
In analyzing fatalities from terrorist attacks, religious terrorism has killed the largest number of individuals—3,086 people—primarily due to the attacks on September 11, 2001, which caused 2,977 deaths.10 The magnitude of this death toll fundamentally shaped U.S. counterterrorism policy over the past two decades. In comparison, right-wing terrorist attacks caused 335 deaths, left-wing attacks caused 22 deaths, and ethnonationalist terrorists caused 5 deaths.THE RISING SPECTER OF TERRORISM
First, the November 2020 presidential election will likely be a significant source of anger and polarization that increases the possibility of terrorism. Some—though not all—far-right extremists associate themselves with President Trump and may resort to violence before or after the election. As U.S. Department of Justice documents have highlighted, some far-right extremists have referred to themselves as “Trumpenkriegers”—or “fighters for Trump.”50 If President Trump loses the election, some extremists may use violence because they believe—however incorrectly—that there was fraud or that the election of Democratic candidate Joe Biden will undermine their extremist objectives. Alternatively, some on the far-left could resort to terrorism if President Trump is re-elected. In June 14, 2017, James Hodgkinson—a left-wing extremist—shot U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, U.S. Capitol Police officer Crystal Griner, congressional aide Zack Barth, and lobbyist Matt Mika in Alexandria, VA. A few months earlier, Hodgkinson wrote in a Facebook post that “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”51 Tension on both the far right and far left has dramatically risen over the past several years.
All parts of U.S. society have an important role to play in countering terrorism. Politicians need to encourage greater civility and refrain from incendiary language. Social media companies need to continue sustained efforts to fight hatred and terrorism on their platforms. Facebook, Google, Twitter, and other companies are already doing this. But the struggle will only get more difficult as the United States approaches the November 2020 presidential election—and even in its aftermath. Finally, the U.S. population needs to be more alert to disinformation, double-check their sources of information, and curb incendiary language.
Terrorism feeds off lies, conspiracies, disinformation, and hatred. Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi urged individuals to practice what he called “satyagraha,” or truth force. “Satyagraha is a weapon of the strong; it admits of no violence under any circumstance whatever; and it always insists upon truth,” he explained.53 That advice is just as important as it has ever been in the United States.
