    The kid should proceed however he feels is best and not worry about a bumbling organization that is in this position because of 18 years of mostly ineptitude in winning games.

    Hmmmm.  Maybe he heard that the Knicks are interested and might get #1 so he faked the injury to throw off the scent?

    But it wouldn't matter as the Knicks will surely make the wrong decison anyway...

    That would be terrible.  Probably why I am nitpicking and trying finding Zion's flaws.  So I don't cry if the Knicks don't get the 1st pick.

    Under the revamped format, the NBA Draft Lottery will ensure that the team with the worst record will receive no worse than the fifth pick. Under the pre-2019 system, the team with the worst record would pick no lower than fourth.
    The new system will level the odds at the top of the NBA Draft Lottery so that the teams with the three worst regular-season records will each have a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery. In the pre-2019 structure, the top seed had a 25 percent of winning the lottery, the second seed had a 19.9 percent and the third seed had a 15.6 percent.

    After the All-Star break, I told my friends the Knicks will go on a worthless run like they do every damn season, end up with the 3rd worst record and pick 7th. Glad it looks like they got last place secured. Imagine falling to 5th though.
