Pat Mahomes is too good to be true.  Goddamn I am lucky to be a KC fan.
Just curious, Brady took less money all those years so they could pay other players and win.  Does this deal Andrew Luck them and have not enough to put a team around him in order to succeed?
    Time will tell.
They are probably fine the next 2 seasons while he finishes out his rookie deal, once the extension kicks in it will be tougher to fill out the roster with quality depth.
    This weekend we rock Portland

LOL.  The NFL is so dumb.  Seeing a bunch of the players reaction to this is hilarious.  They can do all the precautionary stuff that they want but nothing is going to change that these guys will be tackling, breathing, yelling and spitting all over each other during the game.
This NFL thing isn't going to work. It's impossible. If one lineman gets it, then the entire offensive line gets it, as does the defensive line of their opponents. Those guys are all over each other every moment of the game. And when you're diagnosed, you have to quarantine for 14 days. Well that's two games. If the Chiefs have to play without Patrick Mahomes because he broke his ankle, well that's football. If they have to play without him because he might have touched the wrong doorknob in the hotel, that's not football. And there's going to be a lot of that. How can there not be? It's not a "bubble" idea like the NBA is doing. They're going to be traveling on planes and staying in hotels. Not to mention that between players and coaches, it's like 100 people together on a plane or a locker room. It's going to be a shit-show.

Yep.  Exactly.  Same thing with baseball.  The NBA and NHL bubbles have a chance of working but it's hard to see the NFL or MLB working out....especially the NFL since it's such a physical sport.
Totally agree. At least with baseball, they're able to keep it regional to avoid extensive travel. No way to do that in football.
Football could've done something like that too though. They just put out the schedule like there's not a pandemic going on. But in retrospect, maybe they should've done something like baseball; admit that this year is different than every other year of our lives, and make changes accordingly. Like, maybe have only divisional games where you play your divisional opponents five times each instead of two times each. That would be 15 games right there. The Cowboys and Dolphins would get screwed by this though, of course. Or maybe do it regionally like baseball is, but make the divisions different for one year only; the Giants, Jets, Bills, and Patriots are all in the same division. Jags, Dolphins, Bucs, and Falcons are in another. And so on...

I think it depends a lot on how big the salary cap will be over the next several years.  If the NFL takes a hit in revenue from COVID and boycotting against kneeling, then it could be a problem to field a complete roster around him.  Honestly, it’s either do you want Mahomes and a bunch of JAGs or a bunch of pretty good players (see KC from 1989-1997, 2013-2017) and continue to fall flat to teams with better QBs in the playoffs?  Granted you have to get to the playoffs first.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

They are rushing it.  They should just be Washington with the same colors and no Redskins until the have time to think it through.

Typical Snyder, he even messes up when he does the right thing.

I remember as a kid in the 80s thinking that the team name was offensive.  Try to change out the name with other colors.  Crazy. This should have been renamed long before anything else.

Of course im a Raider fan so we’ll probably also be renamed in the next decade.

Raping and pillaging is very offensive. Raiders, Bucs, Vikings, MLB's Pirates....they all have to go.

It's so damn patronizing to black people. Basically the NFL owners are saying "See? Your life MATTERS to us. It really does! It matters so much that we're going to play a special song just for YOU before the real national anthem! Isn't that nice of us? Now go fight through your concussions and win the game."

I thought Goodells little speech a few weeks ago was that too.

"We've done some hard thinking and decided that protesting is ok." I paraphrased but this is the jist of it.

    Just shut up...

No I didn’t, but I’m surprised his contract didn’t forbid him from playing.  It pretty much keeps him from playing just about any other sport that isn’t football.
