That ONE SONG That Lifts Your Mood, Every Time

mine would have to be this: Red Hot Chili Peppers' Victorian Machinery. it's not even an album track. they released all the b-sides to I'm Beside You, I think there was 17 or 18 of them, and this one just.....hits me every time.

Pretty much any song from the album Mr Bungle by Mr Bungle

    Carousel
    Squeeze My Macaroni
    Quote Unquote (Travolta)
    The Girls of Porn

So many.... unfortunately I cannot listen to them when my kid or wife are around.  Not appropriate for kid, never the right time for my wife to appreciate the genius of Mr Bungle

I have that mr bungle cd with the clown on it. If I played that during family time I'd be toast. Hey i get disgusted through most of it. I guess that was their intent. Mission accomplished

If the question were one regarding an album, it would be Deep Purple’s Machine Head. No contest.

In fact, I almost answered “Highway Star,” since that is the first track that usually starts me off toward feeling better.

But that intro to “Sir Duke” is pure unbridled joy that morphs into an epic ~4 minutes of pure ecstasy.

Like the man sings, “You can feel it all over!”

There are so many!   But over the last few months, this one has been my go-to:

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

What's up by 4 Non Blondes....

To be fair most music lifts my spirits.   I was actually surprised it took me this long to realize that, but music generally puts me in a good mood.   It's probably been doing that all my life and I didn't really notice.

Sure. I wish I caught that last show. Youtubed it and woah. Can't see em all I guess. Admire mr Patton's mad creativity.
He does a song with bjork, 'where is the line'...check it out for something different.

People=Shit by Slipknot. It lets me remember I’m not alone in my disgust of humanity. Plus the song rules.

But usually Jason Mraz always makes me happy. He is such a great wordsmith.

I was just coming here to post this. Jessica always puts me in a better mood. “Let’s Go” by the Feelies also has that carefree vibe.

Wes Anderson couldn’t get me to appreciate this one; unfortunately, Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie can’t get me very excited for it either.

    Team Garfunkel!

    Team Fisher!

Team Brickell (keep kicking his ass)!

    BTW, @DarthMaeglin and @GlowGirl
