This is where you can take a 5 minute imaginary vacation and tell us about it. Or ask for a recommendation if your imagination is temporarily out of order.

Okay...

I want to go somewhere with a freezing temperature, because I'm already hating the heat outside. So, I'm in a walk-in cooler, getting a massage...fully clothed. Inhaling Dave Chappelle's second hand smoke while he roasts my idea of a five minute vacation.

Our 2 week vacation, now turned to imaginary, is traveling to Seattle, hop-skipping to The National Parks along (or not) the way.  Shared driving. Pitching a tent in the dirt.  Getting the occasional hotel room when weather or laundry called for it.  Visiting places we have never been, but might live in/next to/near in a few years.  One way up.  A different way back. Waving to some PJ friends along the way.  Alas, we wait until maybe next year . . .

Sorry about the postponement! In my imagination, you're receiving pictures of waving hands from PJ friends around the globe in your PM inbox.  :)

Pre-Corona times he was the leader of Malroth's entourage.

Also, he was in Lost Boys.

I haven't watched that movie in years.  I'm afraid it's going to be awful if I watch it now, lol.

You have to find the right person to watch it with. You have to find someone who will sing "Cry Little Sister" and respect the Frog brothers.

That person would be Brian Warner aka Marilyn Manson:

I had a very cool 5 minute vacation once.  I was hitching a ride in S.F. with a friend back in the early 70's.  We were only going a mile or so but but we had already walked a long way and had sore feet.   These two black dudes pulled over and we hopped in the back seat.  We started moving and a pungent joint was passed around.  The interior of the car was lined in plush velvet and this trippy soul music was playing, massaging the ears with spacey reverb.  We go to where we want to get out, thanked the two bros and stepped out of that African American space ship.  What a trip!  I could go there again any day!

I had a taxi ride that I very much enjoyed a couple of years ago. The driver had a playlist of just two singers playing...it was Sam Cooke (recognized his voice right away) and a French singer I had never heard before. I asked who it was and he said Charles Aznavour. And it was just like stepping into a lovely & unexpected 20 minute vacation. I wish I could go there again. I'll never be able to recreate that exact playlist and it was just perfect.

So cool!  I was turned on to Aznavour back in the day as well.   I had a cool record by him that got lost in the shuffle over the years.  Need to replace that one!

Your ride sounds so much cooler. I would love a trippy soul music vacation! And then exit the space ship and enter my calm floating vacation. What a wonderful world that would be.
