Thinking about getting a PRS

Anyone here have a PRS? What do you like about it and do you have any complaints? I'm contemplating getting a PRS S2 Standard 22 in vintage cherry satin finish. The price is $999 new which is a great price for an American made prs.

    Well I went ahead and bought one because I had a discount that took the price down $100 so I couldn't pass up that deal. I will let you all know how it turns out when it arrives.

    They're a very good brand. They have a nice range of guitars that will fit almost any budget too. I know a lot of people only think of them as a higher end brand sometimes but their stuff in the S2 and SE lines are affordable, well built, and sound great Getting an new American made PRS with coil tap, locking tuners, thin nitro finish, and rosewood fingerboard for under 900 just seemed like a can't miss deal.

    A friend of mine has a Custom 22 from 98 or 99. That thing is gorgeous and it plays like oiled ice.

    They make incredible instruments at all of their price points.

    that thing looks pretty badass.

    i have never played one, but a guy in my band bought one of the very early ones, like from 1988 or so. he only gigged it a few times and is now just sitting on it as the value goes up. i think he did not like the tremolo system for some reason, and rather than having it altered he just stopped gigging it. i do love the bird inlays though. so classy looking.

    Time to put her through some paces this week. I will have a full review up by the first of next week. So far I am surprised at how light it feels and love the finish. The setup was very good out of the box. Will slap a set of elixirs on in a day or 2 but intonation and action were perfect. The short scale makes it a breeze to play and there are no cosmetic or mechanical issues so far.
