Hey, haven’t seen you in so long!

much has changed this year

'n I’m terribly outta practice

but still, so much has stayed the same

could take a while to peel off the layers

but we be gardeners, we be onion folk

saving old seeds, peeling off layers

and 'til September I'm here

I’m open this summer

'n I’ll be cultivating my land

got so much raw space to be cleared 

to be shaped

I've been eyeing others in their Victory Gardens

makes me wanna try too

without easy distractions, people do get creative

so let’s churn up some soil!
