The Rolling Stones new song

The new Rolling Stones song, "Living In A Ghost Time", shows The Stones still have it.  The question is: Does "Gigaton" show that PJ still has it?

IMO at least 11 of the 12 songs on Gigaton are better than the new Stones song, maybe all 12. Gigaton shows PJ still has it.

I didn't even know this song existed until just now. I really like it. The video is pretty cool as well. Pearl Jam still have it too. They never lost it really.

I think Gigaton is great.  Mick is 76 years old.  That a band that old can put out what I think is still a really good song is freaking amazing.  And i've never been the biggest Stones fan.  I think it's great PJ can put out such a good album at their age. Mick at 76 mind blowing.

And its also not so easy to write a song about our times which have lasted 1 month and have it be that good. Ive seen not one other band do something like this. We will likely see alot more. The fact that this sounds like it could be a stones song from 20 years ago is amazing. I hear a little Harlem Shuffle.

I read that they wrote and recorded it a year ago and only had to tweak the lyrics a bit.

While I also like the new Stones song I feel it is just another run of the mill good Stones song where Pearl Jam not only still have it they kind of reinvented their sound with Gigaton! After listening to Gigaton a Giga ton of times I feel that it is very similar to Yield, referring to the type of musical ground that both albums have broke. PJ have broken new ground with a lot of their albums but Yield and Gigaton are the pinnacles for me where I don't have to be in a certain mood or mind set to appreciate like Binaural or Riot Act. I can put on Yield or Gigaton anytime and anyplace and be wowed! Thanks Pearl Jam. Gigaton hit the spot!!!!!
