The movie is neat to look at, but the acting and script are horrible. I don't mind the book. I'm re-reading it now because I seem to remember a few messed up parts in it, and I just want to screen it before giving it to the kids.

I mean, they read The Lord of the Rings, and that has a dark army firing the severed heads of their foes at their foes, so this is probably fine. But reading it as an adult, I'm enjoying the metatextuality a lot more than I did as an adolescent.

Finished this a few days ago. Very weird, but pretty good. It was like 240 pages but each chapter was no more than 3 pages so and easy read. Didn't really hook me in but I enjoyed it.

Finished the Institute, good read, but not Kings best compared to some of his other stuff.
I think House of Leaves is up next
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Me too! Love it and this author generally. Thank you for reminding me to get off my phone and read a book!

I'm still reading Kafka's Amerika, but came here to say that the whole Coronavirus situation reminds me of Saramago's Blindness and Cronin's The Passage.

The latest book in The Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovich. Love the humor and the sheer wackiness of the stories

Forgot I had this book, Cats V Conniff, and never started it. Frank Conniff (from MST3K) wrote this a few years ago about his cats. Short, cute, funny easy read.
