Nothing wrong with being wrong every once in a while. Especially when we are willing to admit it.mace1229 said:Okay, I was upset when PJ postponed. Thought it wasn’t necessary. I realized a few days ago I was wrong. That’s why I’m not in charge of things like this. Good job PJ.

It's not a phobia - it's just that people don't come to the Porch for political discussions. Generally speaking, political conversations here lead to arguments between the two sides of the political spectrum. Neither side will ever come around to the other's point of view. Ask yourself, when's the last time you've seen someone say "oh! Actually, you're right. My stance is now changed." during the various politically-fueled arguments that have taken place on here in the last few weeks. If you let that go on then the thread just gets spammed with arguments between forum users that have little, if anything, to do with the original point of the thread. What the hell does something stupid a president says have to do with a Pearl Jam Tour (and that's coming from someone who takes great pleasure in bashing the buffoon we have in office)? That's why that shit belongs on AMT.rgambs said:I get that nobody wants The Porch to turn into AMT, but the phobia of political discussion kind of cracks me up.

You are right. The problem is Ed turned into AMT2 for no reason. And since we're all here because of him (and the band), following his lead is somewhat appropriate.droptheleash9 said:

I guess this is the real damage done by Trump over the past few years.
Most of that damage has been there long before Trump and will remain long after.
This fucking guy has spent FOUR GODDAMN YEARS spewing "Fake News" and "the main stream media is the enemy of the public" to his neanderthal group of zombie moron followers and you think he hasn't poured gasoline over everything and made it 100X worse?
Sometimes I honestly need to ask myself if people have been watching the same thing as I have since this clown was elected.
January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”
February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”
February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”
February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”
February 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”
February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”
February 26: “We're going very substantially down, not up.”
February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”February 28: “We're ordering a lot of supplies. We're ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn't be ordering unless it was something like this. But we're ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”
March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don't think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?”
March 2: “A lot of things are happening, a lot of very exciting things are happening and they’re happening very rapidly.”
March 4: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.” NOTE: The CDC advises people displaying symptoms to stay home and self-quarantine unless seeking medical care.
March 5: “I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.”
March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”
March 6: “I think we’re doing a really good job in this country at keeping it down… a tremendous job at keeping it down.”
March 6: “Anybody right now, and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. They’re there. And the tests are beautiful…. the tests are all perfect like the letter was perfect. The transcription was perfect. Right? This was not as perfect as that but pretty good.”March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”
March 6: “I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.”
March 8: “We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus.”
Current status: As of noon March 8, 2020, coronavirus is in 30 states plus the District of Columbia. Known U.S. cases exceed 400. The death toll stands at 19.
March 9: “This blindsided the world.”

Fuck 45 and his fake "national day of prayer"...he doesn't care one iota about any of us, about OUR well being, about OUR security and ability to support and take care of ourselves. He only cares if market tanks...which it will. I see a depression, not just a recession coming.hihobibo said:

Unfortunately republican politicians and voters don't care about those things as long he claims to be a lover of christ and guns and a hater of abortion, immigrants, and anyone not white and christian.0 -

I absolutely can't take this anymore...I've been looking for work for a while so I've had a lot of time to read/listen/get pissed off. My anxiety level is through the roof over our situation...I honestly don't know what to do next. I see NOTHING positive on the horizon either financially for this country nor in the public health venue...as long as this evil presence is still allowed to control our lives.Bentleyspop said:
