Indiana and Marley have a nice perch... are they on bunny or squirrel watch?
Not likely squirrel or bunny watch. Maybe magpies.. were in Australia 🤗

That’s fantastic news. Among some dogs’ best qualities is that their will is so strong. Sounds like Kasey’s got it!

rhian, we need a face pic of Marley, please.

(Poncier, your pooch looks like she milks her cuteness, big time).

She's a sweet cat. I've had her for 10 years. She will climb in any bag left in the ground especially plastic bags haha

We’ll see.  She may have injured her hip flexor when she slipped in wet grass a couple months ago.  She’s been on and off favouring her leg, not putting full pressure on it, usually after a ball fetching session.  So we cut that out, but it seems that she aggravated it on Tuesday.  It was bad enough that she was holding her leg up.  I was concerned that she tore her ACL.  He doesn’t think that’s the case based on a physical examination.  However,  we’re going to take a wait and see approach before we go all in with X-rays, etc.  Fingers crossed that all that’s needed is just slow, rehab therapy versus surgery.

She's a Maremma so she is definitely quirky and eccentric. They behave more more like a large cat. They also like to slap you or drag you along by the wrist or fingers in their mouth and take you for a walk. 😜
    Really beautiful dog!

Hey guys! Thought I'd check in with y'all.

So over the past year Norm had been acting more goofy than his normal goofiness and I just chalked it up to old age and Cushing's Disease. But one morning at 4am he was pacing and whining. I assumed he had to go but as soon as he went outside he came back in. It was very weird. Went to the vet and got full blood work up and x-rays. Everything completely normal. So why is he acting like this?

    Dementia.

Until the vet said it, it hadn't occurred to me that dogs could get dementia but of course they can. And now his behavior makes sense. I assumed he had some sort of internal pain because of his pacing and whining. It's a weird relief to know it's not that.
There's only one medication available and so far it's managed it to the point where he's more or less normal.

Here he is last summer enjoying his favorite place.

^^^. I’m sorry to hear that.  I’m glad he’s not in any physical pain.  Sending hugs to Norm.

Aw, man.  It's wonderful that he has what many humans with dementia don't - someone close, to love and support them.

    Good thoughts for Norm!
