Crohn’s disease not only stole more than 3 years from Chris Adams’ “life”, but it also stunted his growth and forced him to quit the sport he loved playing. After a fortuitous moment watching MTV, and an encounter with a musical hero years later, his path was changed forever. Chris Adams is the Board President for the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Having lived with Crohn’s disease for more than 33 years, Chris has endured several surgeries and countless life changing complications. Through it all, Chris took those challenges in stride and has since connected to a world he could not have imagined. His unique outlook on life has enabled him to persevere, overcome, and connect with a world that he could have never imagined. Chris now works closely with Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready (also a Crohn’s patient) on raising awareness and finding a cure for those affected by IBD.
