Pearl Jam shop switched to Shopify

Interesting.  I'm glad to see Pearl Jam keep merch in house when so many bands have gone with music today, and it would make sense for them to source it out, with using things like ticketstoday for tour now.

It should make future drops a little quicker and less painful.  Although there a ton of shopify bots, so there's that.

    Music today is awful. I refuse to buy anything other than digital items from them, not to mention they have horrible customer service! PJ keeping it in house is smart and keeps things like mystery boxes possible.

    People with Shopify Bots would still have to have paying 10C accounts and be held to 1 poster if that’s what they’re after. 
    I hoping that won’t be much of a problem 🤞🏼

    You're right about that, but people are saying that scalpers have 10C burner accounts for tickets, and the band only tours every few years.  Most posters and collectible stuff is one per person or household, so people with bots already have ways around that by having multiple accounts.  I doubt it would be worth it for prints, but I wouldn't think it would be worth it for tickets either.

    I generally like shopify as a checkout platform.  On the flip side, I've luckily avoided many of the problems people experience with music today.  Still, I'm glad they're keeping it in house.  I enjoy the Santos posts (and return address).

    I still hadn't preordered the Gigaton CD, so just did it.  Was able to check out with Apple Pay which went smoothly.  Fewer steps for those high demand items :grin:

    Nice!  I love using Apple Pay for purchases.  Unfortunately my iMac's power supply just went kaput!  At least I have my phone in the meantime.

    They now added a new CATALOG page. 65 pages of PJ merch!

    The new change is the processing the order now. Using Shopify is pretty sweet.
